The green part is written by GTP-3. So the "regular pit supervisor" etc. in the ending got written by a human after the AI generated the first green part, but the last joke was made by AI again.

Just liking something that's the most popular thing doesn't mean that you can't still really appreciate it and be in that subculture

Well, return it. While being refurbished, it doesn't necessarily need to be in perfect shape, it still needs to work as it would when you buy it originally.
