  • Still cheaper though. 4TB you are looking at around 3x the price for it in SSD storage. Although I wonder how the power use compares, might be worth factoring in but probably isn't too massive over it's realistic lifespan

  • I thought prices seemed to be taking a while come down on 4TB SSDs as I had been looking at them for a while.

Don't really want it enough to spend £200 though. Would be to replace a 1+2TB HDD LVM. Now that I think about it, I have never copied a few TBs of data in one go.

  • You don't even need power tools if you have enough time. Spent about £500 on disposing of all the concrete my garden was paved with, the only tools being a sledgehammer and crowbar. And like 10 pairs of gloves.

  • Home brewing started in my mid 20s for cheap mead. Now the only difference is slightly nicer gear like glass demijohns instead of cola bottles and added variety. Started infusing spirits with things too.

  • There are many different sorts of cycling though. Mountain biking and road cycling seem to be the two that can involve spending a lot of money on high end gear that is well suited to a mid life crisis.

I just go on bike rides to the beach on my bike that only cost mid 3 figures.
