  • I think it’s like jet lag. We have our own natural time and sleep rhythms. If you go to bed late yes your tired the next day, but your time sleep rhythm is not affected, your body knows it is short of sleep. When someone messes with the clock your body is out of sync for a number of days.

  • Daylight saving is supposed to save a huge amount of energy, and I am all for that…, but could we maybe still not do it?.. Maybe just hibernate for the winter…, save loads more energy and, yes, solved it … and…sleep 😁

  • Ironic if most UK users just start using VPNs to access content no longer available in UK.

Probably means she’s believing what they told her!

As for the Tories I think this is the ideal extension to their snoopers charter.

  • Management dicked around and ruined my job, is my most common reason for leaving, job security was next, pay and conditions, many companies will pay more to attract new employees than retain existing ones.

  • Firstly know you are not alone, lots of people feel like this. I suggest a hobby which includes exercise and meeting people. Exercise releases endorphins and generally energises you. Meeting people helps bring you out of yourself and focus on something else. I do gym classes as it means I am around people but don’t have to interact too much. It’s the same people so I say hi and maybe chit chat a little. A gym buddy is good if you can find one, we never liked to bail on each other so used to go quite regularly. Swimming always makes me happy and my cat! (She likes to paddle but not really what I meant!)

  • Our cat was born in a barn and is definitely an outdoor cat. We kept her in as a kitten when we first got her and she definitely went a bit stir crazy. I think it would be cruel to keep her indoors all the time.

Before we had a cat certainly the neighbourhood cats could be annoying but we befriended a few. Humans certainly have a huge sense of entitlement when it comes to ownship of the world and I think it is starting to bite us in the ass.

  • These workers are highly experienced professionals in critical industries and have been chronically underpaid for over a decade(s). Many have risked their lives and health and that of their families during the pandemic. Bringing in agency staff will not solve the labour issue in these areas but make it much worse. Already we have lost so many dedicated professionals in these areas the services are on their knees. As a society we need these services to keep us healthy, safe and educate our next generation. As one of the richest countries in the world we can afford it if we want to and we will be much poorer in all ways if we don’t.
