  • Yes, I agree. I noticed the days and saw no names. He seems to be wrong about what it says, but people in this thread seem to be wrong about it just being some random calendar.

I don't like to replace wrong information with wrong information.

  • it's just a calendar

I'm very skeptical of this claim right here.

I didn't notice anything specific in the calendar itself, but when I used Google translate, the top of the calendar read:

"For the Battle of Toukan Al-Akher 10/23/7"

I'm assuming the date is October 7, 2023 and it's the result of Google mistranslating from Arabic, but that doesn't sound like a typical calendar.

I feel like people are trying to pretend the hostages were held nowhere.

EDIT: I zoomed in and translated again. I think Toukan was Toufan and this meant "Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood", obviously in reference to the Al Aqsa mosque and using the terminology that Palestinians use to describe October 7th.

  • The polls said the race was much closer than people online or pundits would have had you believe. I know, because anytime I mentioned it online I'd get downvoted and when I mentioned it in real life people would get angry.

  • From what I remember about this case the mother had terrible gun safety (obviously) and the child was mirroring terrible behaviors he'd seen from the father. The father has been accused of aiming a gun at an extra [ex]girlfriend and attempting to choke out another.

  • If you're trying to gerrymander in a sinister way you don't want to win counties in a land slide. You want to split up your opponents' counties and concentrate the rest in as few counties as possible so that they lose.

Here's an example with two parties: X and O

    Undivided population:
    XXXXXXOOOOOO

    Situation 1:
    XXX XXX OOO OOO

    Situation 2:
    XXO XXO XXO OOO

Situation 1 is probably the fairest because the population is 50/50 and they have 2 X representatives and 2 O representatives.

Situation 2 is gerrymandered by party X to give them 3 representatives, but it takes fewer Xs to switch and damage the majority. The Os have no real X challengers in the 4th district (OOO).

  • I always assumed we'd have realistic-looking human machines before we had realistic conversational machines. I don't think that's the case anymore. It makes the movie Her seem that much more believable.
