  • They linked a Wikipedia article for a whole book. We can read the summary section, but presumably it would be better to have read the whole book.

Wouldn't a comment where they mention what applies in this specific situation make more sense than just a link for a book with a title that's meant to rile people up?

  • Forrest Gump is one of the many stories that could use two viewpoints from both the guy and the girl like they did in 500 Days of Summer or The Affair. It's much easier to sympathize with someone when you get to see the story the way they experience it.

  • No, I actually thought you were joking. I think people are pretty ordinary and can't telepathically tell that stuff in text. I bet you can't deduce my gender, orientation, race, hair color, and name. I assume this because I didn't tell you any of these things.

  • I thought the same thing, so I checked the real paper and they do end up explaining their reasoning.

As for social interactions among humans, future research will explore whether the new study’s findings apply to women. “When we looked for volunteers who could donate tears, we found mostly women, because for them it’s much more socially acceptable to cry,” Agron says.

I'm interested if the results are same for male tears and also if they're the same for women who smell either gender's tears.

  • I'll do you one better and rank these instead.

    1. Lucky Penny
    2. Caffeinated shoes
    3. Fatigue masking mask
    4. Frying pan of flavor
    5. The cool glasses
    6. Underwear of febreze

I really wanted to put the caffeinated shoes at number 1, but the lucky Penny sounds OP.

Also, the underwear is an unfortunate item because most people who need it wouldn't choose it. It's also the only item that could be simulated with one hour of effort a day (at most) for most people.
