I made a user script that will make a button on each video which jump you to piped, that way you can continue to use YT to manage your subscriptions and see your feed, but you never have to watch to video there

almost zero chance of consumer grade windows requiring a subscription

And even if they did, fully hacked local install versions would be created... adobe photoshop is subscription only and I see full installs for it all over the place (and I might even have one myself but Im admitting to nothing)

meh debian is great as a server but needs a lot of work out of the box to be used as a desktop. Better off with mint if you want a great out of the box experience

We would need large companies and developers to start making their applications for linux and right now thats very hard because linux has 2500 different package managers and no one wants to maintain version of their apps for even the top 5 linux packaging methods, so unless that changes they will continue to make windows/mac only apps

it may actually come now if this happens

Also Canadian here, our insane conservatives would do the exact same thing if we give them power... I suspect we are soon to find out

I think it also depends highly on the circumstances, if your child did something very very bad (hit bother with a hammer say) then youd actually be derelict in your duties as a parent not to yell at them (and ground them, etc) in that situation. Going too soft on them when they really go off the rails can be just as bad or worse than being too hard on them.

Alex Jones still hasnt paid a dime of the 1.5 billion he owes either.. he never will and I doubt trump ever will pay any of these settlements either.

Regardless, he'll drag it out till well after he has died of old age. The american legal system literally cannot touch anyone with money or power... see Matt Gatez for many many examples.
