  • I have those Edifier speakers, I love them!

  • I’m a US Licensed Customs Broker (I help people/companies navigate Customs laws and classification to import stuff). I have been building and tinkering with PCs since I was a teenager though I have no schooling.

  • Surprised they’re not selling blatant product advertisements for it!

  • People actually read r/all? I always just kept to my subscribed communities…

  • I’m assuming this is better than the built-in tiling that Windows 11 has when you drag them to the top of the screen? I’ve found that to be extremely useful, but I mainly use my Windows desktop for fun and light productivity work…

  • Yeah that is what I thought regarding the first point.

For the second one, I love this explanation and I think it makes perfect sense!

  • The spatial geography on this one seems a little wonky. It’s all ‘in the Vulcan’ system but then the moon is ‘at the edge of the sector’. I mean, that could make sense but just seemed a little weird to me. Also weird: if this moon is in the Vulcan system, then you would think the Vulcans would have already surveyed it themselves, seeing as they have been spacefaring for hundreds (thousands?) of years. I just can’t see them leaving it alone when it seems to be common knowledge that there are the remains of an advanced civilization on it.

  • Yep I just reinstalled it and it installed the latest copy. I had to redownload my game but at least I have the cloud saved.

  • Yep, did that and it created a new EA App entry in Steam that did nothing. I ended up just hitting ‘start fresh’ and reinstalling the whole thing. I’ll have to re-download the game I was playing but at least it has cloud saves!

  • I thought it was fine. Some nice moments, some good nostalgia, but that’s about it.

  • I'm going to assume that since my account is on a different instance I'm good for now. I interact with a few lemmy.world communities but just posts/comments.

  • TNG movie era - Sovereign, Sabre, Steamrunner, all of it!

  • Was going to say, I love the new compact mode but I had to change it after I logged in.

  • The two that I used to love either have disappeared or significantly slowed down their posting:

Ketwolski - just gone, I hope he's ok

Trekspertise - use to do a lot of video essays on Trek, I think he got caught up in making a movie (good for him!) so even when they do post it's just not the same

  • Looks fantastic!
