  • Ah, I thought you were talking about John Oliver's QA. I see how "QA" is ambiguous between the two now though.

  • John Oliver’s recent special about them really calls their QA into question

What do you mean by that? What was lacking?

  • The 0.19.0 release was horrendous and completely broke a lot of things. Again. It wasn't the first significant breakage on a feature release. It happened before.

0.19.1 attempted to fix things, but didn't. Now we're on 0.19.2, which at least isn't completely broken anymore.

It's certainly, evidently not only about or for performance and security.

I can't say anything about the current state though, or why beehaw administration decides against it. Other instances I am using are on more recent 0.19 and work fine.

  • Your videos seem very authentic. I'm not one to watch very long and verbose videos, so for the most part they're not for me. But I think they're good.

Personally meaningful, I liked the Armored Core 6 impressions, which made me add it to my wishlist. Watching the Mirror's Edge video gave me nostalgia - it was and is a great game indeed.

  • This bot detects messages with certain tags associated with a profile, then replaces that message under a "pseudo-account" of that profile using webhooks. This is useful for multiple people sharing one body (aka "systems"), people who wish to roleplay as different characters without having several accounts, or anyone else who may want to post messages as a different person from the same account.

Yeah, that seems incredibly niche. Never heard or thought of necessity of it.

  • Great project, great focus on movement and movement skill. Good guidance/tutorial IIRC.

It's been a long time since I played it. I'm not very fond of arena shooters with weapon-collecting.

  • What do you use to sync contacts?

I've used Thunderbird in the past (some years ago), but eventually switched to Outlook because of contacts and calendar sync and integration IIRC.

  • I have a great workplace environment, although it is demanding, and still taxing on me. After my burnout, I reduced working hours to keep it sustainable.

  • A little anecdote about quickly blocking people/toxicity:

In the videogame SMITE you can block people. And I was quick to do so when people were being toxic (blaming, raging, insulting, etc), and did so relatively quickly on unfair and unnecessary negativity (it never gets better).

After a few years, I could no longer add others to my friendslist. Apparently, there was a shared friendlist+blocklist counting towards the 1k friendslist maximum. And I had reached it.

Removing years-old blocks to free up friend slots was not an issue of course.

  • If they're profiling then they're bad at it. They offered it to me despite being a US-resident-only offer - which I am not.
