  • At this point i’m not sure what there could be to be excited about. They’ve kind of done everything… now it’s just about incremental upgrades. Like, better graphics, better battery, maybe something like having the ability to use the tablet part and the TV at the same time to mimic the DS/3DS, but that’s about it.

  • I didn’t come up with the age range, but it’s been well established for a while now. Someone else told me about “Generation Jones”, which is basically just the younger half of the Boomer generation I guess. I feel like that’s splitting hairs, but who knows, maybe it makes some sort of sense to you?

  • To be fair, whomever decided to use an apostrophe to indicate possession AND abbreviation clearly didn’t think through all the possible conflicts before going ahead and making it a thing. Should have made a separate symbol for one of them.

  • Oh sorry, I wasn’t trying to say you were doing that, it’s just a thing I see quite often whenever this topic comes up.

And yeah, their games are generally pretty good, so they have staying power. This is compared to flavor of the month games where, once the general populace has had their fun with them, they die in a far-off corner, never to be heard of again.

  • Not really true, they discount their games on the eshop all the time. And if you’re talking physical copies, Target and other stores have sales all the time too. It’s just not as good as Ubisoft lowering the price of their games to $20 after a month or whatever, so people bitch and moan.

  • I liked the original game these games were based off of (Donkey Kong ‘94 on gameboy), but what I remember of the Mario vs DK games on GBA was that it focused too much on the mario toys and wasn’t really as fun as DK ‘94.
