  • Having worked in healthcare my entire adult life, I can safely say that nearly every MD/DO thinks they're a super being, better than anyone they perceive beneath them. It's a huge fucking problem. They do not think other people's time is more important than theirs.

  • go ahead and apply that same thought of yours to computers/Internet and the 1st amendment…you will argue against it.

The Constitution is explicit in regards to the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no law..." This isn't even remotely the case with the Second Amendment. There's more truth to constitutionally allowing direct physical threats and defamation, which are considered not protected by the First Amendment, than there are magazine sizes, lmao.

I think what trips up a lot of people, especially Americans, is the idea of something not being black and white. Just because the First Amendment talks about speech and the Second Amendment talks about guns doesn't mean it's a black and white, when you have this unfettered right to speech and guns. Something being in a gray area makes Americans very confused.

  • This just isn't true though. Other countries ban alcohol and it doesn't turn into what happened during American alcohol prohibition. Nor does it mean banning needs to be done like it was done during that period either. You people gotta start thinking a bit deeper about stuff.

  • Maybe the mods have been on the internet for more than a week and knows what happens in those sorts of comment sections and don't want to sit at their computers all day dealing with that shit?

Do any of you people think before screaming injustice and reverse racism?

  • What you're doing is comparing apples to oranges. Someone complaining about one's grammar for no other reason than defending the system in place is being a dick to that person. They're not arguing for a better world or a better system, they're just jerking off what already exists simply because it exists. They were also not suggesting new information to that person, they were saying you must follow these rules. If you don't see the difference between a) telling someone like that to fuck off and b) telling someone to fuck off who told that person to fuck off, I don't know what to tell you. It seems like you skipped a few critical thinking and philosophy seminars in your heyday. You wannabe YouTube debaters are profoundly stupid.

  • Fun fact, all the pro-nuclear bullshit you hear is just regurgitated nuclear lobbying propaganda.

The only reason nuclear has such a following is because people (almost always men) think they think they're in the know. It's unironically very typical of how the alt-right pipeline starts. People think they're being given all this "truth" about nuclear and now they're knowledgeable about stuff that other people aren't aware of or that other people are believing the "mainstream" thought about. It also helps that nuclear followers see themselves as edgy. It's a perfect rabbit hole for these people who are easily influenced to fall down.

  • I hope this place grows quite a bit so all these boomer memes and you boomers get fucking shat on every time you post, and no one has to see this horrible, dated form of "comedy" anymore because you'll be too scared to post anymore.

  • Are you one of those people who can't follow context clues and use rudimentary primary school reasoning to come up with the actual meaning of a sentence without the sentence being inundated with discussing all the tidbits, nuances, and subtleties that make the sentence able to be understood by a poorly designed AI? You're a really, really stupid person.

  • This isn't really accurate. The Supreme Court isn't a state protected from federal government overreach. The Supreme Court is explicitly under the jurisdiction of the United States, which Congress has the sole power to create and govern except on issues which are forbidden by the Constitution (and those they give to the judiciary to control themselves).
