  • Once they hired that former cop who bragged about using these RPI's for "legal" surveillance police operations, I was done with them. This goes completely against the DIY spirit. There are so many better options out there without cops and without snarky Twitter social media managers.

  • Try using the logic OP is espousing and applying it to other things which that logic has been employed to defend the status quo and keep certain people on top of society.

We can take the most obvious example, black people in America. At every single turn black people in America have been told to praise the freedoms they've been given by their slave masters then later by white people. We heard this same logic in the summer of 2020, literally 3 years ago, when black people were protesting, "we've come so far since the days of the past, start being grateful and positive." So, saying that there's more that needs to be done, but it's "positivity" that they've been given some more rights is pathetic.

All this type of logic and people like you are doing is shutting down people, attacking the moral wrongs and questioning the status quo of society, who are fighting for a better world. Shame on all you.

  • This is such poor logic. Being around when something happens doesn't mean you somehow know a vast amount about that something. People later can study that something and known much more about it than people who were living during those times.

Ask the average American who was alive during the Cold War what the effects of it were on America and its population, they'll say some generic shit they heard mouthed to them by politicians. Ask any 21 year old college student who just finished a course on the Cold War and its effects on America, and they'll have much deeper understanding.

Being old and alive during something doesn't make you knowledgeable about that something than someone younger and educated. You'd know this if you weren't all idiots, but so many of you are dumbass motherfuckers.

  • Oh, look, a bastardization of statistics to defend the status quo wrapped up in "positivity" bullshit so if you call out their nonsense, you look like an asshole.

There's a special place in hell for people like @Godric.

  • You're assuming that I must take the other position because I called out your position.

They have reasons for theirs, you have reasons for yours.

But here you are again, another post, saying the exact same thing with nothing to back it up other than your feelings.

  • And that demonstrates that all the leftist groups are not filled with Russia and China supporters… how?

Because it's clear you've never talked to any leftist member of any leftist group ever?

You've completely made up these big bad "Russia and China" supporting "leftists" in your head. Every leftist space I've ever seen in person is full to the brim of anarchists. You have to go out of your way to find these people you think are rampant in leftist circles. What you read online isn't how it works in the real world. You need to get out more and stop believing all this anti-leftist propaganda you're reading online.

  • I'm not assuming anything like that. That's you putting your ridiculous dichotomic outlook of any subject into someone else's mouth. There's a good chance if Requiem for a Dream required a 2023 movie budget, it wouldn't have even been made. An unknown director/writer with a 2023 budget with a movie like that? Ha. There would have been no option to see that the next day. Also, are you comparing Requiem for a Dream to Oppenheimer?

  • The beds are too short if you're 6' or above. The food is not good. And there's really nothing to see when you're passing through the never ending nothingness of Middle America. It's not like you get to hop out and walk around any of the cool looking towns you may come across. You don't really experience anything except a mediocre, slow ass train ride.
