  • I don't know you, the language you use, nor the way you use chat gpt, but I'm a bit surprised at what you say. I've been using chatgpt on a nearly daily basis for months now and while it's not perfect, if the task isn't super complicated and if it's described well, after a couple of back and forth I usually have what I need. It works, does what is expected, without being an horrendous way to code it.

    And gpt4 is even better

  • I don't know why you would think that. I don't think they said how many crashed thing they retrieved, but if they did thousands, hundreds of thousands of flights, there will be accident. Sure, they are way more advanced, but I don't believe that a 100% success rate can be achieved.

  • Which he seemed eager to present if he could get in a scif with them.

Will we ever know those info ? We might only know in a couple of weeks, or a couple of decades. But if he was flat lying and then gets into a scif, tells more lies to congress, his ass gonna end up in jail real soon.

  • Full metal alchemist us by far the most over rated anime of all times, it's barely deserving of a 7/10, and I think that's being generous. I can probably give you 50 anime I've actually watched that are, as a whole better than it at all points

  • I give it the tiniest slimmest of chances to succeed. Below 1%

Too much regressives & right wingers. Entire, countries sometimes.

Plus, a handful of country(USA, China, india) are so overwhelmingly disproportionately polluting compared to the rest of the world ( or will massively increase in the next decades in the case of India ) that if all 3 are not all in into it, nothing anyone else does matters. And I don't believe any of those 3 will do enough.

So regardless of what the rest of the world does, I do t believe it matters. I still think they should tho, because if all 3 DO in fact make it, if the rest didn't, it still won't work either. So, achieving a largely global goal is even impossibl-er in my opinion

We are are fucked as is. A way to 'solve' this is a global collapse in population, but that wouldn't be very nice either.

  • Is what you host publicly accesible? If not, then it's not even a concern. You could even host unsafe apps, but if you know they are entirely inaccessible, it wouldn't change a thing.

As for php itself, it's mostly due to the fact it's by far and wide overwhelmingly crushing the competition. A quick Google search says it's used by about 80% of websites. So, it has, by far, the most (negative) publicity, biggest target, and most inexperienced/bad devs working on it. Software is as secure as its made. Junior dev don't often think about security. It's bigger, so it happens more often.

  • Good for you. Personally, I feel they aged horribly, the controls, by today's standard, are barely usable. If a new game came out with such controls, I'd probably flat out refuse to play it.

  • I don't have to bother with ads on desktop, TV, phone, nor on my gf's devices. I don't have to find work around, use sideloaded apps or whatever. And youtube is by far and wide my most watched platform, has been for years.

It also includes youtube music, which has been my exclusive music platforms, either to play during work, household chores, on my phone or on my Google home, or in the car.

To me, it's not even a question if it's worth it. If anything, it's my Netflix, crunchyroll, hidive subs that I should drop. They are replaced way more easily

  • If you are willing to pay... then why not yt premium ? A cut goes to google, sure, but it goes to creators, based on your watch time, without falling into having to support 1-infinite channels etc. Plus no ads without any tricks

  • I say it depends on the type of people making the mess. I myself can live with a little mess. If it not catastrophic, I might add to it by not putting some stuff away immediately. But at some point, it's too much, and I'll be putting things in order as I go, instead of adding more.

But with a bigger place, I can spread it more, so overall more mess can be made before I stop adding more

  • Plus, any regulation to limit this now means that anyone not already in the game will never breakthrough. It's going to be the domain of the current players for years, if not decades. So, not sure what's better, the current wild west where everyone can make something, or it being exclusive to the already big players and them closing the door behind
