Exactly why I keep saying in other threads that this problem doesn't die with Trump. The damage is done, and the whisperers just need a new puppet once Trump kicks the bucket.

The USA is big, yes, but the population live in the cities not in between them.

Some of us are a 2 hour drive from a small city, 4 from a big one. My state capital building is almost 3 hours from me.

If he is the murderer, which hasn't been proven, he has a kill count of one. The murderer he allegedly killed was responsible for thousands of deaths.

I respect your perspective, but I'm not convinced. Everyone I've seen say that just asserts it as fact, even though there is no shortage of demagogues in the alt-right. So many people think this ends with Trump and aren't planning for what comes next, it seems.

Hi, friend. Lemmy is diverse, so I understand if English isn't your first language. The adjective, "despicable," in the title is affecting the word, "video," not the word, "deported."

While deportations are obviously not inherently immoral, this article is drawing attention to how the White House posted a video, which depicts our fellow human beings who are likely being separated from their families, as an attempt to amuse their base with what they think is humorous. I'm sure we can both agree this is despicable.

If Trump had written project 2025, I might be more inclined to think that. Trump on his own is what his first term was.

I just don't believe that, sorry. Nothing special about Vance, I just think all anyone would have to do is lean into Trump as a martyr. Even a freak accident would be painted as the work of radical leftists, and Vance or whoever would capitalize.

Not technically, but your employer can hire someone to do your job while you're striking. The result is that when the strike is over, your job is filled and instead of going back to work, you are placed at the top of the rehire list for whenever that job becomes available again.

First time I'm hearing about this. A quick search shows this list of companies Muslims are/should boycott, and Costco is not listed. There is also this source I found claiming that while there is a single Costco warehouse in one Israeli city:
