It will just be exploited by megacorporations and distorted in unimaginable ways to push profit to new heights. Just like every glimmer of hope for the future.
The nuclear reactor shutdowns were a push by the Greens in the early years of this millennium. Probably the biggest change they succeeded with in German politics, so that tells you a lot about the quality of that "party".
Most LLMs are transformers, in fact GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. They are a different to Bayesian networks as transformers are not state machines, but rather assign importance according to learned attention based on their training. The main upside of this approach is scalability because it can be easily parallelized due to not relying on states.
They win big because they are saving a lot from the mass lay-offs and the free advertising they get. And in the unlikely scenario where they actually face difficulties, they will just steal more money from the taxpayers in the form of a bail-out.
There was a cool video on YT that explained how the "tomato drop" in the BK ad was done and how they prep the burgers for the ad. Lemme see if I can find it.
Edit: as I anticipated, putting "ad" or "commercial" in the search bar makes the algorithm cream itself and flood you with shittons of ad and "reaction" videos to said ad.
That happens all the time. ChatGPT did offer a decent solution for my GUI recently tho and suggested a layout manager I haven't used before and didn't even know about.
They figured out that they make much more money just pandering ads and lying how they are related to people's interests than they would make when actually providing an invaluable service to humankind. Now, instead of information, we are stuck with paid-for results and SEO-optimized keyword spammers that want a crumb of that cake. I think the free market calls this "innovation" or some shit.
You cannot force people to use Micro$oft. But I'm sure that it would only increase market share for them because it will be mediatized in a way that depicts non-privacy invading operating systems as morally evil because good guys don't have anything to hide. Kinda like they did with pleading the fifth and shifting the public image of doing so being a silent admission to having committed a crime.
I have met a few cool Israelis, but I still wouldn't want to visit that country. Kinda like Iran, I played video games with a group from Iran for a long time and they are good and kind people, but I wouldn't ever want to visit them because I wouldn't feel safe in their country.
