  • Delete the current LICENSE file in your repository and replace it with the new one.

You don't have to put your name, year etc anywhere, the license is valid for the entire repo. You are not filing for an IP, it's just a usage license.

Note that all the legal jargon is not necessary, you can write one yourself as long as you make it clear what you allow and what you don't allow.

I.e. "don't be a dick" requires elaboration, "do not use my code if you intend to make money off of it or parts of it" is clear and legally binding.

  • Firing squads are often partially equipped with blanks so the shooters don't know it was them. But then again, I'm pretty sure an experienced shooter could tell if it's live or blank ammo from how the gun behaves. Idk tho never shot a gun my life.

  • I cannot edit a deleted comment, so here is a revision of what I posted:

ISIS did not enact Sharia law when it comes to war. Their unhinged interpretation of the Qu'ran (they did not accept not the full thing ofc just the passages that they deemed relevant for their agenda) was basically that everyone that does not accept their ultra-fanatic extremism is infidel. And then they proclaimed Jihad and in Jihad, infidels are cleansed (also not the meaning of Jihad in the Qu'ran, but ISIS' interpretation).

It's best to forget about ISIS when talking about rules of Islam, they are about as much Islamic as the KKK are Protestant Christians.

  • Zionists would not have wanted that. Establishment of a Jewish state around Jerusalem is a core idea of Zionism and Jerusalem is not in West Germany.

The plan to realize this ideology is much older than the Holocaust.

It is not about having a safe place to stay, it's about religion.

  • Gaza has been a shithole long before Hamas existed because Israel is doing the same shit since over half a century. The only future they can look forward to is staying an open-air prison. There will be no two-state solution, Israel does not want that.

  • That's not how it's meant. It's like "my bad" or "oops", not "please don't get mad at me and tell mommy".

It's simply a token of speech that expresses acknowledgement that there has been a misunderstanding.

What makes this so irritating is actually the fact that you subconciously know that it was your fault because it was your bad input that lead to the bad output. People have a harder time forgiving when they are in the wrong than when they are in the right because of cognitive dissonance.

  • They did the same with Dota 2. If you wanted a key, you could just ask Valve directly and get one (if none of your friends had a spare), it was not an exclusive club house for the cool kids.

I don't think it's 4D-marketing chess, it's more like people who've already shown enough interest to ask for an invite are more likely to leave feedback when they find something off with it.

  • reCAPTCHA is a failed project. It was initially designed to lock out bots while being trivial for a human to solve but, over the years, captchas became more unintuitive and bots more sophisticated. Bots are now way better at solving captchas than humans and it's just a useless time sink.

  • Except that they don't. The ultimate goal of the war according to Netanyahu is to "destroy Hamas", no elaboration on what that means tho. Securing the hostages is just an optional mission and he made that very clear in the past.

Hamas would have never gotten that strong in the first place if Netanyahu weren't appalled by the PLO's stance of a two country solution and had not worked actively against them. He does not want to accept a state of Palestine, holding true to the old Likud manifesto "Between the sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty."

It's funny how that stance is acceptable when it's Israel that threatens and enacts genocide.
