  • I tried firefish. When I tried to do something, I was told my account was suspended for violating the rules. I hadn't done anything on the platform yet, so I don't know how I could have violated any rule. It also didn't tell me which rule I violated.

  • There's only 11 apps on there. I've had it installed for quite a while, but it's still not much of anything yet.

  • I don't think anyone making movies understands how guns work. I've seen people in movies chamber rounds 5 times as if to intimidate. If you did that in real life, you'd just be wasting ammo by expelling 4 rounds out of the side of the chamber.

It also bugs me when people are shooting an obvious 8 or 10 round pistol and fire off 30 rounds without ever having to reload.

  • Phew! That's a load off my mind. I've been worried about that for a long time.

  • Oh, a Lemmy bot that gives an alternative YouTube link. Thanks for clarifying.

  • What is pipedbot?

  • I read it in some medical journal many years ago, but I already knew it from experience.

  • Extrapolating sounds like too much work. Can you just show me a picture?

  • For the same reason that orgasms are better if you're wearing socks.

  • We had a storm recently that caused power and Internet outages across our city for about a week. Many businesses opened up with no power and just accepted cash while writing down sales with a pen and paper. If you didn't have cash on you, you were screwed. None of the ATMs worked. Nobody's credit card machines worked. The banks didn't have power, so they were closed. Going cashless leaves you in a heap of trouble in an emergency.

  • I prefer to type softly, but carry a big stick, to beat people with.

  • Do you have shared spreadsheets? I've been trying to find an alternative to Google Sheets, but I've not found one yet. Someone had suggested Disroot, but the spreadsheet doesn't work well with Android.

  • I'm sure they will eventually, but they've been working hard the last couple months just to keep up with the stability issues from the huge influx of people to Lemmy. Once they get everything smoothed out, then they can get to the small things like that.

  • I've seen several posts (I don't know personally because I stopped using Reddit) saying that new accounts without email are unable to post/comment and get banned from subs for attempting to participate. I think that's what OP is referring to.

  • Why are they here? What are they fighting for?

  • That's the best guess I've heard. I decided not to purchase it, so I guess I'll never know for sure.
