He can legally do that. And if the judges say boo about it he can grow a pair and tell them to try and enforce it. He controls the DOJ.

If Trump wants to keep running agains Biden I will happily watch that allow Kamala to beat him handily.

You know what would immedately get us gun control? If that black panther party decided to spend their time guarding our schools. The “good guy with a gun” theory only it’s black and latino people guarding the schools.

Yes. We need full societal fixes. But gun control is part of that.

14 year olds have no business having unsupervised access to weapons. We need better storage laws. We need better red flag laws, national licensing laws so that everyone with a gun has to take a basic safety course, and we need universal background checks where ALL branches of law enforcement share info with each other.

Start there and you will significantly cut gun violence while we spin up the mental health infrastructure to deal with the rest. Which is going to take time. And money. Neither of which the current government wants to spend.

Or better we give the kid to the maternal grandparents who it sounds like the mother was living with and get the child therapy and the mother rehab and not call her a methhead to stigmatize her when she fucking tried to do the right thing here.

The addict had more sense about her son than his father did. Maybe, just maybe, we should stop criminalizing addiction so that we don’t end up with 4 dead people, 9 injured, and 2 people looking at life in prison.

I know nothing about a meth charge, but she was the parent who called the school and TRIED to stop this when she realized her son was being weird.

So in the grand scheme of which parent should have custody, i’d pick the one who didn’t hand him a gun.

Never thought we’d need a constitutional amendment that spells out the president and all elected and non elected government workers are subject to all the laws of the United States in the exact same way civilians are. But here we are.

Reality is you are not going to convince the entire world to turn to a vegan lifestyle. Period. And if you attack people for not wanting to change, you are going to make them resist that change more.

We don’t have the economics for everyone to suddenly become vegan - it’s fucking expensive. We also don’t have the nutritional education for everyone to suddenly become vegan. People have to be willing to research that in order to not malnourish themselves. And most people are simply too lazy to do that.

Not to mention the massive amounts of food deserts in the country that would make finding vegan options for a fully vegan diet impossible.

Asking everyone in the world to live off vegetables and supplements is insane. We are not there as a society yet. And I have no intention of driving a hummer. It’s too damn expensive.

Just like eating a proper vegan diet is if you’re actually trying to meet all your nutrients.

There was a local radio station near me that would host a summer festival every year. The tagline was ten bands for ten bucks.

And we’re talking big name bands too - Smash Mouth, Bush, The Offspring. Usually 6-7 big bands and a couple just starting to break into the scene who were always huge 1-2 years later.

They just rebooted it this year. $50 plus fees for 6 bands. It’s still a decent deal considering but not the same as it used to be.

I almost bought tickets to that since they were gonna be in town on my birthday but decided to wait.

Covid hit a month later. Was so glad I didn’t get those tickets. Was gonna be $250 a pop for the cheap seats.

Yeah but now what happens is scalpers use bots to buy up all the tickets and immediately resell them for a markup. And ticketmaster is happy to get their cut.

Happened when we went to buy Bruins tickets last year. What was orignally a 75 dollar seat was not a resale seat for 140. And this was the nosebleed section.

This is why they’re getting sued by the DoJ. And why Harris needs to win if you guys don’t want Trump to immediately quash the suit.
