  • I’m guessing this is the vagus nerve he’s describing? Longest nerve in the body, and the effect being a vasovagal syncope.

I have had this nerve stimulated by severe gastrointestinal issues twice, and the effect can only be described as dying haha. I’m being hyperbolic, but I swear both times I passed out felt like the end.

Complete lack of strength,, cold sweats, weird hearing issues and then passing out into a fencing response, convulsing, and then waking up within 30 seconds, no confusion, completely aware of what just happened and how much it sucked. Different than a seizure.

    Fun fact:

one of these pass outs were at the beginning of an international flight while seated in an exit row. The flight hadnt even taken off from the airport. They even let me stay.

  • Simple dish but it’s amazing,

    Chicken adobo

Get about two chicken breasts, bone-in preferred

Pop into a bag with some like 6 cloves of garlic 1 cups of soy sauce, and 3 tbsp of fresh black pepper

    Marinade for like 3 hours

Then throw all of that into a pot and cook for about 45 minutes closed lid on the stove, mixing occasionally

    Prepare white rice for base

Take off the lid and let it cook for about 15-20 more minutes on medium-low, until sauce is noticeably thicker. Place on a simmer until rice finishes, then go ahead and plate. Make sure to add some sauce to your bowl as per your preference

    Enjoy!

  • Okay 13 day old account created the day after the election

Like did you create the account just to spread pessimism and really believe that’s the best way forward?

Reality has more nuisances than good guys and bad guys

  • Basically this mutation is shown to protect against malaria, but it causes an issue with producing a molecule needed for the creation of ATP (energy your body needs)

So while they can offer a protective effect to the subject they could need transfusions or other treatment to stay healthy.

Subject 1 & 2 had similar biomarkers, and subject 3 had different markers causing a type of misread that made them transfusion dependent.

    That’s my understanding at least

  • Do you really think we can really say a majority or even half?

only approximately 1/4th eligible voters voted for him, a right goal has always been to create swarms of apathetic or single issue voters. I guess it definitely still counts as ignorance

  • Yeah, people are basically sticking their heads in the dirt with what’s about to happen in the US.

Source: I live in Ohio and the apathy is palpable. I’m in a Blue bubble, but I even when I go to some small town you can tell everyone is just too burnout from the freight train of nonstop crazy politics stuff.

  • It’ll just be blamed on the Harris administration, there will be some type of propping up of the economy to give Trump an upswing and then another event will happen and it’ll be the new reason it’s not trumps fault

“Oh we see Germany gearing up their military, and you know what that means WWII, we have to fund new military programs it or we will all die….the economy is gonna take a hit, but we are patriots America”

  • Also, yeah talk about a fucking tease in gaming, why did they recreate so much of RDR1 in RDR2? I really thought that naturally they were going to extend the second one with a “dlc” that was basically RDR1 remastered.

  • I’ve been playing God Of War Ragnarok and haven’t felt the need really to use the map much at all.

I do find the armor system to be annoying and basically decided to ignore all the gear I pick up, sell it, and upgrade the base items all the way instead because of the buffs the beginning gear gets if you upgrade all the way. All that to say I wish they just had a more robust leveling system instead.

Otherwise minus my deaths (playing on God Of War difficulty ) I’ve been feeling pretty immersed in it.
