I don't know if they can really be safe at the beach though. You go in the water with your gun, or you leave it under your towel and hope a kid doesn't find it?
You are making the mistake of stepping into the argument. Even if you eventually convince a conservative that this is incorrect, fox news will fix their view back in a couple of weeks, and even add more deplorable viewpoints to boot.
I don't know how to fix the issue. Propaganda is just too effective.
While I agree for some, I think the media has helped instil those beliefs for a lot of others.
For instance, before row v wade was gone, abortion was a big issue. Then states rights, etc. But that's not fun anymore. Now my conservative friends are super interested in who is allowed to use the women's bathroom and compete in women's sports. And hunter Biden of course.
Not sure why everyone is downvoting any opinion that isn't "give minorities all the available resources!".
It should not be: you need x% of your classroom seats to go to minorities. That's silly because talented and driven people will be sent away to make space. It should be more like: "you must provide an avenue to help those who can prove disadvantaged status to take extra classes and then reapply to your program." These classes could be online or whatever to make it as easy as possible for someone with less means but still driven to succeed have a way to better themselves.
I think what he was saying, but slightly missed, was, if both people needed guitar classes, we should not give the guy with the hand issues the only available seat.
Really though, if we just spend a bit more on education, there could be seats for everyone! So maybe the last picture could be fertilizing the tree to make it bigger or something.
What? Is there a good alternative? If we could magically make the world 100% renewable+nuclear in only 14 years that would be amazing I think. It would not solve everything, but sometimes it takes a bit to stop the bleeding before healing can start (carbon capture and planting trees during nuclear construction maybe?)
Not at all. These are normal questions, especially from r/financialindependence back from Reddit. South Florida but I bought my house and homesteaded it (locks the property taxes to no more than 3% increase per year) before the value doubled. Home is paid off. No other debt anymore. I can and have spent as little as $25k per year, to as much as $40k per year. This only represents my half of expenses though. My wife has her own fire plans.
For awhile they will. But still, that would mean one engineer could handle several restaurants, for example. We won't have nearly enough jobs for all the people, unless we invent some busy work. Maybe that's what pumping gas jobs in certain states always has been though 🤔.
Do you mean this as in robots cannot do it all? Because I'm pretty sure they soon will be able to. Or do you mean it in that humans need challenges to make their lives feel complete? Because I would agree with that.
Dude it is NOT easy to make enough to retire in your 30s. Congratulations to you for even making it a few years. That's a huge accomplishment. But saying it's easy is a bit unfair to those who are not able to make that kind of income.
Saying this as someone who also plans to retire before I turn 40, and I DO have an income advantage. It has been very difficult even still.
No no you don't understand, I mean, sure the media makes him seem like he has those traits, but he's really a great guy! I mean I guess it's been proven he has those traits but who doesn't right? Isn't everyone deep down homophobic and racist and misogynist themselves?
And really if you think about it, God can use anything he wants right? So why would he pick the Catholic guy out there trying to invest in America? He definitely wants the guy who most looks like my own deep down beliefs. So no matter what you say, your argument is invalid because God is on my side.
