  • It's so interesting how people's bodies differ! I feel 2x better when working out fasted than with food in the last 4 hours or so. Otherwise I feel sluggish or a bit nauseated while running and my stomach will turn with heavy weights.

  • Weightlifters seem to hove about similar parts make up very kind people who just want others to succeed and people who listen to Joe rogan and Jordan Peterson.

  • And then I get down voted for laughing when people say that they use AI for "general research" 🙄🙄🙄

  • I only partake in the finest carapils

  • Yeah, they have a spotify connect plugin that works, but chromecast probably will not be supporter because google holds all of the cast keys and esphome/music assistant/ home assistant would have to register with them (and probably play the fees) i think

  • Then there is me who is the first 3 panels 24 hours a day since I was 13, tired for decades getting 8-9 hours of sleep 😅 at least insomnia is rare. I don't wish insomnia on almost anyone. The 4-5 times I had it were the most frustrating hours..

  • Yeah there are large threads on them but because the API has been developed for WiFi, moving to a mesh like ZigBee would be a substantial rewrite although matter would be a lot easier than ZigBee, which got written off a long time ago as just too large if I remember right.

It is also a huge project for people to start developing on, their core team isn't massive, so there is a large barrier to entry for such a thing. It might be happening in the background though, no idea.

  • If esphome get matter and thread, the DIY smart home device ecosystem will go from great to amazing. Right now esphome just has trouble with truly low power devices due to WiFi, polling, standoff, sleep, etc... Matter instead of the esphome API will probably solve a lot of that.

  • It's done for smaller parts with peltiers nowadays. Not that efficient, but there are few options. If you sink it to a large enough surface, it will radiate away.

  • That is what I am thinking. Looking at the larger perspective snowball–flakes, there are 4-5 variations of the same 90° arc going from bottom to middle rjght. I don't think there are that many of the same arcs at slightly different radii (radiuses?) in ASCII but I could be wrong. Or it could be the low res.

  • To be fair though. The experience of google and Microsoft online word/spreadsheets/etc... also sucks ass on a smartphone. Much better, sure, but doing spreadsheets or writing a paper on a phone is a bad experience in general.

  • It is better in every way except easy printability and water absorptionon the spool (wet petg Is much harder to print but it can get wet after printing no problem)

Stronger, UV resistant, more watertight, much more heat resistant, more resistant to creep at room temp, less brittle, can print clear, and doesn't have a bad warping problem or need and enclosure like printing ABS.

It is essentially just PLA but better and a bit harder to print. I completely switched over to PLA because I found good settings for FormFutura recycled PET (more stringy than petg)

  • But how does this change using VPNs with torrenting? Especially because it seems like the vast majority don't support ipv6 as well as openvpn often leaking ipv6 IPs.

  • 0.07% of the american population against a senate and house fully in control by the Trump Party.

This is the kind of action that will get stuff done! Internet petitions that have almost never had any meaningful effects outside of literally millions of people signing petitions for extremely tiny issues that have no effect on anyone in power. That will change their minds!

  • Only Android Open Source Project, not the different phone UIs, vendor blobs, firmware, camera apps, etc... It is really the basics that are open source.

But also the source of android is 100% controlled by google unless it is an alternative forked project like lineageOS (at least I think so)

  • This is what feddit.nl uses as an alternative UI. It seems to me pretty much the UI of new reddit vs the default which is more the old UI of reddit. Also images don't load well on photon. If you click into them, they are often the thumbnail just blown up instead of the full res version.

  • This is a better list than the actual list probably 😅 Not having hollow knight or cuphead on the actual list is pretty insane and it is much more of a "non-mainstream best indie games" list

  • If you data wasn't being stolen and sold up until now, it 100% will be after this lol. I wonder how much worse they can make discord. Speed run anyone?

  • That is very cool, I have never met someone who had success with open hardware. Can I ask what the company is?

Any tips for doing crowd funding if I decide to put my stuff on the market? I feel like crowd funding has died off a lot in comparison with 10 years ago since most campaigns either don't reach the goal, don't deliver the product (or a very basis version), or were scams to begin with.

  • What is the benefit of using labplot over matplotlib or seaborn?
