Key-based connection with SSH

I'm not certain on how secure this is, but what you're referring to is usually called "Passwordless SSH"

I fucking love this. I've been wanting to get into some slightly more professional looking development and being able to make some Lemmy plugins would be huge for me

There actually an interesting reason behind this.

And here's the real one, if anyone is interested. Alligators are ambush predators, and they don't do very well with twisting. They're designed to go forwards, and boy oh boy do the GO FORWARDS. So, poking at it's side actually does make it hesitant because it is afraid that whatever is touching it over there is just as fast as it is. However, whatever is over there touching it's side doesn't have to twist, whereas it would. Therefore, it sits still and hopes that you either get in front of it, pass over it, or at least be swift.

Yep! I read an article recently about a pentester who was challenged to break into a hotel, and they happened to use RFID in their cards. He social engineered and piggybacked into somewhere and then used a flipper zero to get around inside the building when he hit a locked door

But the dude that uploads once every 6 months with a video essay about whatever rabbit hole he went down for the last 6 months? I want those ones for sure, and that's exactly what's gonna get toned down with these notifications

They've done away with some of this with the time walking features. You can actually go and level a character through those old expansions these days. I think the only one fully missing is vanilla because of the cataclysm, but then there's vanilla wow for that

Parents watched their child die

One of the things that stopped me from committing suicide at my lowest point a few years ago, was my mom asking me to break the tradition in our family of mothers burying their sons.

This is unrelated, but it reminded me and it's never a bad time to remind people that they matter to someone I suppose

I was in a similar place, but now I'm in a slightly dumber place. I have a solid savings buffer, and an okay income but I put the bulk of my savings into a certificate and then ended up needing my liquid savings for nonsense.
