  • I appreciate your saying that, and your desire to be respectful of people's names. You had good intentions. I hope you have a great day.

Edit: Why are all you jerks downvoting the dude for saying sorry? Do you want to discourage people from apologizing? Because that's how you discourage people from apologizing.

  • Nobody else knows or cares how Cyrillic is pronounced versus the language the rest of everything written is. You're just confusing people, especially if you don't care about proper grammar to match your capricious language hopping.

  • That's good news, that means we should quadruple their funding. As long as we have impossible goals, let's really go for it. I think the right person could convince the voters these are good ideas, if we could find someone proletariat enough to endorse them and run on that platform. Bourgeoisie politicians can't support it because their donors make bank off a crippled government.

  • If some Americans I disagree with want fewer immigrants coming here, then a more stable Mexico would encourage Mexicans and other Spanish speaking immigrants to stay in Mexico. Mexicans wouldn't immigrate to the USA, and Guatemalans and so on would stop at stable and prosperous Mexico rather than making the further journey to the culturally estranged USA. Instead of building the wall, we'd make Mexico a net.

  • I also said we had cheese made of fire ant milk. Google hyperbole, then get back to me.

Of course I went to school, I'm an American, where do you think I learned to bar the door from gunmen?

  • I hadn't heard of that kind but it's pretty! A quick search says I could get it at Walmart. I personally prefer not to shop there but that means it's probably available somewhere else. I'll be sure to try it some time, thank you for the tip

  • No, but you guys seems to think we only are aware of craft singles and can cheese. That's our lowest level of cheese. I was trying to explain that despite your opinions, we actually do have food here.

Edit: Saying "we actually have that too" doesn't mean in any way "Europe has no grocery stores". I thought you guys had the good schools?

  • You guys always miss the point, we have your cheese, and our cheese, and synth cheese, and any other cheese you want. Imported European cheese? Yep. Craft cheeses from Wisconsin? Any kind you can think of. Cow, goat, buffalo, sheep, cashew, chicken, fire-ant, whatever. I can go to Costco and get a 72lb wheel of Parmigiano reggiano, aged 2 years, shipped to my door within a few days. I can go to town and visit a number of delis and get a pound of anything sliced fresh. I can go to the grocery chain store and get a presliced pound or go to their full in store deli for more options. If I'm having a burger I might go for the classic American cheese slices. We also have a cheese flavored product in a can that is good when you are tired of living. You have only high quality cheese because there isn't room on your tiny European shelf for the sheer variety of bullshit we also have.

  • If they never discovered Any Rand there would not be the quantity of discussion regarding her, regardless of quality. Books that don't get read don't get judged. Her works and life were appealing to people who support a certain philosophy. They have positive discussion of her and her works. Those who disagree are not likely bother to discuss her failings at length, if others did not praise her. She would merely be obscure and bad, rather than well known and bad.

  • No, Viktor Orbán and Hungarian conservatives and the American Republican party are both symptoms of the same global conservative problem. I'm not sure if you prefer blaming the USA, or if you just need somebody to be behind it all, but everyone has the potential to be evil like they are. All of us. We all have to choose to be better, no matter where we're from. That includes not generalizing about people based on their nation of origin, like saying if it's evil it must be because of the American thingy.
