  • Your anecdote is not evidence. Because I’ve seen exactly what you haven’t seen. And the people being left out aren’t even all that far left.

But I’ve also intentionally left out maga fucks because they literally want me, an LGBTQ person, dead. So yea, I’ll ’tone police’ them and leave them to be lonely all day. I don’t cavort with bigots that would murder me given the right conditions.

So tell me, what’s the problem with me being what’s wrong with kicking maga folks out of my social circles?

  • My house is literally across the street from a large community of affordable housing. It’s largely made up of immigrants and BIPOC folks. I love living here.

Granted there was a police involved shooting this summer 50 feet from my back door, but that guy fled to my neighborhood and wasn’t so much a part of it.

  • Remember anecdote should not be treated as empirical.

I know some Catholics that may as well be evangelicals with extra steps, but I know more that are far from it. It happens to be that the ones that aren’t essentially evangelicals are just quiet about it.

  • As a member of the LGBTQ community myself, I don’t begrudge you that at all. My feelings on the matter are my own and I don’t need or expect others to conform to them.

I just also happen to not like them at all so it helps with the boycott 😅

  • Before I started actively boycotting them for their support of anti-LGBTQ work, I always felt their chicken was only ok. I think burger king’s Ch’King is way better and that Arby’s chicken sandwich is also superior. When they finally got to my market I was thrilled and then very quickly let down.

  • I use the Philips EP3221/44

I paid $700 for it but it’s available on places like Amazon $400.

Works great, minimal maintenance, and makes good enough coffee. The milk frother is fine but you won’t be making any latte art with it.

  • I recently picked up a 13 year old dell inspiron to run my instance of home assistant and Plex. It was an upgrade from a shitty old Linux laptop that was literally falling apart. All I had to do was add ram (it only had 6gb and it wasn’t stable, so I maxed it out with 16gb) and I swapped the old slow HDD for a crucial SATA SSD and it’s been perfect. It probably pulls more wattage than necessary but it’s exactly what I need for now.

  • My super automatic espresso machine. Dead simple to use and so much cheaper than operating a keurig. I bought it because I’m awful at real coffee machines and need to have a single serve option. Being able to use whole beans has made it pay for itself in the 3 years I’ve had it.
