On an unrelated note, I really love that the text to articles is included in the post. I honestly read a lot more articles than I used to because I don’t have to click through and have my eyes burned out by the brightness of the inevitably light mode news site.
I’ve recently started delivering for DoorDash and my mileage has skyrocketed. Im trying to figure out the cutoff where it makes sense to go finance an EV vs keep paying for gas. I don’t think I’m there yet, but I’m spending upwards of $200/month on gas so I’m not terribly far off from a used EV being the same monthly cost.
That’s a pretty privileged position to be in. Not everyone can say no to a job because the quality of the team isn’t to par because they are more interested in keeping food on the table than being happy at work.
I once had a reservation to stay at a La Quinta and there was literal poop on the bathroom light switch, the sheets on the neatly made bed were dirty (wrinkled as if slept in, black hair, literal dirt), there was what appeared to be a used tissue on the floor just under the edge of the bed, and the toilet was dirty like it hadn’t been cleaned in months (least of the issues).
They refused to fix the problems, give us a new room, or refund us. It was shocking and I’ll never book with them again.
Fry tells leela not to do something ever and it’s ridiculous but I can never remember what he says so my head canon has turned it into ‘don’t apologize for anything, ever’ and I use it all the time.
Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.
You’re absolutely right that they’re are legit ok with whatever.
But as a person who does sometime prefer femme pronouns but for the sake of simplicity request they/them, I know that there are times when a person may be presenting in a way that reflects that they’re feeling gendered and that acknowledging that gender would result in euphoria. In general any pronoun is fine and they’ll never be offended by any particular pronoun, but if you want to be a good friend you can dig deeper and discover what gives them a sense of euphoria.
