Red Scare refers to the Commies under the bed fantasies of the Cold War. Russia hasn’t been communist/socialist since Yeltsin. Russia is now a mafia kleptocracy. And mafia Russia is a hostile foreign power. Opposition to Putin and Russian criminality is not a red scare thing because communism isn’t what’s the problem or the source of opposition to Putin’s Russia. It’s Russian mobsters who all report to Putin, who also owns and controls Trump and much of the GOP

To be honest, the Dems have been trying to overturn Citizens United since it was decided. It's just too difficult to amend the Constitution. And only an amendment can overturn CU.

GOPers actually did have higher mortality from COVID. Not enough to save us from Orange Hitler. But it was significant.

If one studies any foreign language, one of the first things one should learn is how to say "My Hovercraft is full of eels". And in fact I have done this. Why? Because when someone is studying an unusual choice of language (in my case it's Modern Greek) one is inevitably asked to "Say something in (Greek in my case)". So the sentence, which is objectively absurd, actually becomes useful. I'm considering Irish as my next language. Why Irish? Maybe speaking some Irish would help me get an Irish passport so I can escape from Fascist America.
