  • Not a word about the religious motives of this action in this article.

Mixed religion marriages are not socially accepted in India. When born a Hindu, one stays Hindu. Converting to Islam and marrying a Muslim is frowned upon (not sure, but I think it is even illegal in a couple of states). So the solution for such couples was to move cities and live together without officially marrying. With this registration, Uttarakand tries to stop that as well.

  • What is your source?

High power is a matter of scaling (and size/space constraints). To increase the power output, the membrane size can be increased or multiple power cells can be installed as explained in the article:

If you want to store more energy, just increase the size of the solution storage tanks or the concentration of the solutions. If you want to provide more power, just stack more cells on top of one another or add new stacks.

  • Heavyweight with Jonathan Goldstein. Jonathan solves human problems, often reconnecting people who lost contact. Jonathan solves serious issues in witty ways. Funny, but serious.

This is a Gimlet Media podcast, bought by Spotify and published for a while exclusively there. As of the latest news, Heavyweight is looking for a new home for next season.

  • In these situations, where an investigation is already announced, it should always be continued. If there is nothing, it would be in the report.

But it is stopped, so there must have been some truth in the allegations. Probably a minor issue. Maybe FIA wants to protect Susie, Toto and a few others.

  • First of all, their claims are not new. They claim this for a long time already but have not shown a minimal viable product yet. During the time they spend money in research, Tesla batteries grew to 3 times the originals.

QuantumScape have only shown minuscule batteries, they need to scale up to car battery capacity. Only a car with their battery can prove their claims. Until that happens their stories are worth nothing.

Charging a 75kWh large car battery in 15 minutes requires a charger of at least 300.000W. Imagine a charging station for 5 cars would need a 1.5MW power station. That is impractical. Also the current flowing into the car would be enormously high, requiring huge cables. Also inside the battery pack, huge cooling systems are required.

More practical solutions are exchanging battery packs or battery fluid exchange (flow battery). In short time 100% recharge and virtually unlimited range if packs are slowly charged at exchange hubs. .

QuantumScape will water down their claims and eventually publish a more or less standard LiFePo battery if the investors are lucky.

  • I (early GenX) grew up with: it is an ugly conflict between two evil sides who do not hold back to kill. When agreements are reached, there is always one side who breaches the agreements. Periodic killing returns in a continuous cycle. At the end of every period the conflict hardens and borders are moved.

I have not changed my opinion. I have not seen an eye opener in the past months.

SNAFU: Situation Normal, All Fucked Up

  • from the baviour of Toto, to comments of Hamilton and on track behaviour of Russell, they have become very annoying in my eyes

Can you elaborate on this? Some clear examples? I did not find it so bad, what I saw was just mildly amusing.

  • A cringe start of an over hyped race weekend.

A guy impersonated a traffic pylon. A DJ hardly touching his equipment. No cars. A few minutes of embarrassed drivers. Lots of LEDs. Typical Vegas: no substance.

Even the audience cheers were montaged.

Let's go racing and forget this monstrosity.

  • The title is clickbait, read the context in the interview. There is a huge nuance in the words before and after the quoted statement. One could (and should) wonder why the title is not: "Marko says his relationship with Perez is very good and acknowledges a change in climate or team would help Checo". Far more accurate because he explains how he and the team support Perez the best they can.
