Thank you so much for this. It made a lot of sense and I followed exactly and it all worked! Which makes sense. I ended up removing the initrd.img-previous and went through with the update. Eventually maybe I'll need to resize the partition but for now this is my solution.

Species from 1995. Parents and their friends were watching it and told us to not come in because it was too scary.

I thought they were bullshitting young me...I was wrong. Lol. Had wonderful nightmares for a while.

Did you read all three books? Got real WTF in book 2 and 3.

Lol. Just continuous one upping the WTF each episode. It was so good for that.
