  • I don't like this meme. Not because of the politics involved or anything, it just doesn't make sense.

    I know it's supposed to be a subversion of "They're the same picture", but now the conversation doesn't work anymore.

    Corporate wants you to find the difference between the two pictures, not just confirm that they are indeed different. They know that.

  • I see it as the DM realising the items he gave the players are too OP and deciding to remove them. A bit clunky, but reasonable depending on the item, imo.

    I would've thought from your previous rant, that you'd be against players having too many OP items, as that can easily lead to the situation you described where everyone always succeeds and there's no "desperate struggle", as you put it.

  • It's playtest material made by WotC, the company that makes D&D.

    Any new ideas that they're not completely sure about, gets released as Unearthed Arcana first, players then can test it and give feedback, which they can use to balance out any issues it might have, before eventually releasing it officially in a book.
