  • That's bullshit behaviour by staff. When was that? I haven't really liked going in there for the last few years.

  • They never saw the vote. They can't count it, it has to go to court. They're following the law.

  • They're doing everything by the book. They never saw that ballot and can't just count a vote because someone said their ballot was returned. It will have to go to court at this point but EC has done nothing wrong in terms of the recount. You make it sound like a conspiracy that they counted more votes for the Liberals.

  • FYI, the archive doesn't seem to have worked.

  • detective Isaac Hanson, who found Backeberg, said he was able to locate her through her sister’s Ancestry.com account.

“That was pretty key in locating death records, census reports, all kinds of data,” Hanson told the news station, adding: “Ultimately, we came up with an address

I hate that about those genealogy sites: Someone else can give up your privacy for you. I found myself on one with a whole bunch of private info because some relative thought it was cool to put the whole family out there. They included kids, everyone's birthdays, maiden names, addresses, the whole shebang. All completely public for anyone to search for, without asking anyone if it was okay with them.

  • Windows 10 won't just stop working. I still see businesses rocking Windows Vista occasionally.

  • Makes snu-snu a little different.

  • "I wouldn't say I've been missing them, Bob."

  • By APMA figuring, a compact SUV model Arrow could roll off a Canadian assembly line by 2029 with a sticker price of $35,000, he added, ready to be one of the two million cars sold each year in Canada.

2029? Too late. In my opinion, If they can't hit the market by the end of 2025, maybe 2026, they might as well walk away now.

  • Then bringing it to a blue mailbox might be your best option.

  • Can you leave sticking out of the slot?

  • That's the point of the post-it note. So they see it.

I've done it before at an apartment, though admittedly it was many many moons ago.

  • The sticky note was just to be a flag, not the message.

  • If you don't want to take it to a mailbox, you can put it back in your own mailbox with the "return to sender - no longer at this address" on it. The mail carrier can pick it up when they deliver your mail next. If they seem to miss it, you can try putting a bright post-it note on it to make it stand out.

  • I don't really get what you're saying. Maybe a picture would help? Having worked with mouse pointers for three decades, I'm pretty sure it's either correct, or if you disagree then what you're choosing as the click pixel is arbitrary, and pointer style and implementation dependent. In any case, the user will generally learn the specific click behaviour very quickly, usually without even thinking about it.

  • That was definitely not clear.

  • I feel like there was a change in his demeanour in the last couple of years. It really showed up when he confronted that heckler on Parliament Hill. Not that the heckler didn't deserve it, or more tbh, but it just felt out of character for Singh. I mean, it was the kind of thing I would do... I really started to think he was on his way out at that point.

I think he did a good job as the leader of the NDP, and given the fear (on the left) of the Conservatives winning and the resultant strategic voting, I don't think many could have done a better job for the NDP in this election. He certainly used his third party prop power very effectively in the last few years.

I hope he can live in peace outside politics. He seems like a genuinely good dude.
