  • The most annoying thing is that in apples terms of service you are not allowed to tell people that you could go to the website for cheaper prices. Or if you don't offer payments through the app store why you are doing it. (because of apples stupid fee)

Android isn't really better, but at least you are allowed to link to websites that function out of the play store payments.

  • Ok I wanted to see what are we dealing with here.

The website for the factual check is a bit shady in my opinion.

For example the guardian from UK is mixed because of "many failed fact checks over the last 5 years" I could only find 5 linked there and if that is all failed checks then it is still very good.

Then I looked at a news paper I know is the worst. BILD from Germany. It is also mixed. There was only one failed fact check linked and I don't think the analysis which leads to the conclusion is transparent enough.

So we have a relatively good news paper from UK and a lying shit of paper from Germany and both are mixed. If mixed has this much variance it doesn't mean anything.

  • English is a mixture of many languages. Often English just took a word from another language and kept the spelling the same.

    Examples:

Kindergarten. A German word which is pronounced like the German word. If you would pronounce it like it should then you would say kinder like in kind.

Bureaucracy. French word. Nobody knows how to write or pronounce it. French people are weird.

  • Ok I definitely get why you don't want that content to be seen by children. I watched some of that shit.

But I also must say most of the scenes won't be understood by children. However the overall content is bad and makes people dumb.

I am sure that you have children whose parents say, that's a comic, nothing bad can happen there, watching that.

6 million views on that shit........

  • Ok it isn't that easy to get the ai do what you want. So being good at writing prompts is indeed a skill. But it is not an art skill. I mean I can get a similar result by just bullshiting words at the ai. If I draw sth. By myself it's is shitty and takes days. So well I appreciate the tool but I wouldn't call anyone an artist who uses ai without any corrections. If you edit it so it looks better maybe you are an artist. Idk

  • You either have a ping before connecting and if you get a response don't do it. Or you send some high frequency wave additionally to the power. You can detect that signal and then stop accepting the power.

Basically like ethernet over powerlines work.

  • What they want to sell:

A mouse with the quality of the mice 20 years ago. And you need to subscribe to software updates. However the subscription is not optional. If you don't pay monthly you can't use the mouse.

What I would actually pay for:

A high quality mouse with an open interface and maybe open source software for it. So I can maintain the software by myself. Usually you can achieve a high quality standard in a few months, and unless there are some driver issues, it should work forever.

I have a "gamer mouse" with a lot of features, custom dpi settings, custom color settings, rebinding keys and so on.

However I used the software once to set it up and on Linux I can't even change it. I will never receive any updates!

  • Nuclear is a possible solution to more power.

However as long as we can't use the old nuclear waste as fuel we are not going to have to way to get uranium in way that is human and affordable.

Also nuclear power plants are expensive as fuck. You will pay several billions of euros in order to build one. You will have at least 10 years of building time. In that time the power demand may already have been doubled tripled or quadrupled. So are you ready to build 4 times as much of hundreds billions worth of power plants in the hope you finish them on time or don't over build?

Or do you want to build a solar plant or a wind farm in several months once demand has increased? For a fraction of the costs?

  • As long as the product is owned by the government it works. You can pay a contractor to build it, maybe even manage it, but you can't give the infrastructure to the private company that then has a monopoly
