  • The article however doesn't cover how samsung is blocking phones from mexico and also not why the gray market is an issue for them.

    Edit:

So Sony and Motorola did disable phones from other markets in mexico because people buy used phones from US or Europe because they are cheaper. The reason for that is apparently that they claim the chargers could harm the battery, which is bs.

Other manufacturers only showed a message that the phone might not work in mexico.

Mexico then punished manufacturers who locked phones with a new law that was made very quickly. Now it is illegal in mexico to lock down phones from other markets

  • For revanced I can say it must be a change on Youtubes site. Because I had the same issue with a relatively new Version of Youtube and revanced on Android 12.

There is the new app grayjay.app which might be a solution for you. YouTube flagging your account is a risk you probably already take with revanced

  • Well usually the winner of a war declares who is a terrorist and who is a revolutionist.

Let's take for example Ireland. While the irish in their history talk about freedom warriors the british called them terrorists.

This conflict in there won't end until either all of one side are dead. There is so much ideology and hate involved and neither are willing to pay the price of peace.

  • Yeah but their sentence is correct:

The project is not open source (in terms of FOSS) but the source is open.

The whole license stuff is complicated enough, why are we using confusing technical terms?

Open source should be open source and free and modifyable source should be sth else
