  • Another option in the future is passandroid. I have had success with that and was able to add tickets. As a final point i would say rate the apps on their respective stores and give them a terrible rating and state why.

  • I am there already. I try to self host and my only subscription is a vpn. I of course have to lookup stuff from time to time but its so bad nowadays. The results are garbage or the algorithm feeds you far right nonsense because you accidentally clicked a video on the youtube homepage.

Then every second site wants you to do a captcha or make an account just to read an article... Get the fuck outta here with your account., instantly close the tab.

Then we have the abysmal data mining and constant breaches because these fucks dont want to pay for proper security but ok its because their pages says they use "military grade encryption" which is usually just TLS.

This is my only social media account. Specifically because it is non commercial.

    /end bill burr rant

  • Is there a list of countries that have these types of scanners ?

  • Maybe but there are a lot of wires and pipes running through the walls too. They would spend longer rebuilding the house if they broke every wall and took apart every appliance

  • Put in into the wall using an existing screw hole for a photo then rehang the photo. Take a hammer to the wall later to get it back.

  • All I know about this guy is that he bets on the loser in ufc fights.

  • If they ban one they should ban them all. Cambridge analytica used Facebook on behalf of LeaveEU and Trump.

  • Imagine paying for an OS to have ads in it. 🐃💩

    Thankfully we have Linux/BSD

It doesn't matter that you can disable it, this stuff shouldn't be in the OS in the first place

  • Now if ubisoft could go under too. I'm still pissed the splinter cell games are such a shit show on PC and they have the neck to ask for full price with the bugs and multiplayer disabled. They can get fucked

  • I only use maps and youtube from google nowadays. The rest are shit

  • I'm not sure but it is a good question and a good project if none already exists.

Looking at work history from employees of these companies on linkedin we might discover more.

  • Running a middle relay for years with no issues.

  • I wonder If they were protesting some other interests such as against iran would they have been fired.... Of course not. Countries and companies are bending over backwards for Israel.

I hope the workers challange this in court.

  • You are right, as you note this requires a set of skills that many don't possess.

I have been looking for ways I can help going forward too where time permits. I was just thinking having a list of possible targets would be helpful as we could crowdsource the effort on gitlab or something.

I know the folks in the lists are up to their necks going through this and they will communicate to us in good time when the investigations have concluded.

  • I think going forward we need to look at packages with a single or few maintainers as target candidates. Especially if they are as widespread as this one was.

In addition I think security needs to be a higher priority too, no more patching fuzzers to allow that one program to compile. Fix the program.

I'd also love to see systems hardened by default.
