I like to get food from small restaurants and food carts. The only times I'll ever go to chain restaurants anymore is if family planned dinner there or something.
Jerboa has been good to me for the past month, but Sync is such an improvement. It has customization options that just make the experience better all around.
You can start small with making comics by downloading a free drawing app and just experimenting. The one I use is called ibis Paint X but there really are tons of them.
What I do is when I notice I'm just scrolling for no reason, I'll switch apps and try to draw something instead. Sometimes I like what I draw and other times I don't; the important thing is to just spend time doing it.
Fwiw, I've been using the free version of Sync since yesterday and still haven't seen a single ad. But also, it's like they just aren't live yet because I do see an occasional empty box with "sponsored content" labeled in the center.
I just installed Sync after browsing with Jerboa for the past month. Sync has such a clean, smooth look that if it functions even remotely consistently it'll be my new replacement.
I got shampoo in my eye while showering the other day. It was just a milidy painful inconvenience, but felt so stupid because it hadn't happened in years til then.
Dang that's lame. Once I had a teacher ask me for one and I was gonna give it to him for free, but he insisted on paying the $1 since he was just a cool dude.
Highschool money making hack: Take note of the vending machines and what they sell. Figure out what they don't have that people want, then buy it in bulk at the store to sell at school for profit.
At my school they didn't allow soda in the vending machines, so I made bank selling cans of Coca-Cola and Mountain Dew out of my locker for $1-2 each. I remember earning enough to buy an iPod and that was pretty much all I was doing it for.
I've actually noticed that too. It's odd that anyone would go to/sub to a community for cat pics and just downvote whole threads of comments regularly.
When I see it happen I like to throw a few upvotes to balance the scales again.
MrBallen has a ton of spooky stories, probably too many to even pick a favorite, but this one is undeniably creepy. It's a true story about a cult-like family and the ending is just insane.
I like to use the Imgur app for browsing content now that I've stopped using reddit. The navigation is different, but it's usually a lot more positive of an experience.
I wouldn't say 'most jobs', but a lot of jobs don't actually care about diplomas.
The customer service jobs I've had typically only had a short 'can you do basic math?' type quiz beforehand just to see if I could operate a cash register.
My warehouse jobs just had simple safety training and subsequent quizzes.
Restaurant work only requires a food-handler's card.
In my experience, entry-level jobs care more about you having a reliable form of transportation + flexible schedule than if you passed high school.
