You have to take a very cursory glance to not find differences between Street Fighter 5 and 6. The gameplay systems are very different, 6 has an actually good single player mode, the net code is vastly improved. If you're just looking at the graphics, you're doing the same thing this post is criticizing but for the opposite goal. Street Fighter 6 is one of the AAA home runs, especially when you consider the disasterous launch of SF5.
I moved to Chicago at the end of October from the deep south. The past few days the weather has been hovering around 0⁰F and that has been an adjustment. I've figured out the clothing I can wear to bear it. Sunday my feet felt like they were going to fall off after only a few minutes walking around. Last night I had to wait for a bus for like 20 minutes and I was totally fine. I switched boots and it fixed my whole issue with comfort.
There's being informed, and there's being saturated to the the point it affects your mental health. In 2020, I had to unsub a bunch of subreddits that had a tendency to bring up trump even when he wasn't part of the subject at all because I was starting to really spiral. I understand wanting a reprieve from the firehouse that is the Trump/anti-trump "discourse". It's not so bad now, thankfully.
I used to work at a factory. One of the maintenance guys had a zip-tied little rainbow pony on his toolbox. He was just a goofball. He would carry around a roll of large gold star stickers. He would randomly put one on your chest and say "you're doing a great job". I saw a gold star on the TP dispenser in the bathroom and knew he was to blame.
Most of the guys in that kind of profession are pretty accepting as long as you do your thing with confidence. You'll get some ribbing, but you're expected to give it back.
IANAL, but it doesn't seem like this is a big deal. DOJ wanted to know if the defense was going to use a particular defense. The judge didn't compel the defense to disclose their defensive strategy. Maybe a lawyer can provide some insight but this seems like a non story.
Agreed. This is a multi-layered fuckup. The manufacturer probably didn't tighten things down all the way, their QA didn't catch the critical defect, the plane inspectors didn't catch it during inspection, the airline didn't ground it after a pressurization warning, the pilot flew a plane with a known issue. There are several cultures of complacency at play. Hopefully the FAA can scare everyone into flying right.
Yep. I've seen some top tier clownery in Lemmy. And there are some subreddits with really positive communities. The good communities are usually the smaller ones and Lemmy is smaller overall, so it hasn't really had time to be as bad.
I've had a speeding ticket where I was offered a "no points" option to pay a higher fine. That was only offered after I showed up in court. This would discriminate against poorer drivers.
I think the 10 commandments are in Exodus which is also one of the books where God says exactly how you should own slaves. So that would be a weird one.
Theoretically, that would only reduce the price proportional to the amount of new production relative to existing world production. This does little to dampen market turbulence.
