  • Hey, don't let that push you further down. She shouldn't have ever said that shit whether she feels it or not. That's fucked of her.

I'm sorry you are having a bad time. Life isn't meaningless, but sometimes you have to make it mean something. It's hard and it can suck, it's easy to lose your way and feel deep despair. But keep pressing on and chances are you'll find people to be with that have no regrets. Learn to do things for you and take enjoyment and self appreciation for those things you accomplish. You can make it. You just have to keep putting one foot forward, even if it's only a smidge.

  • It was a combination of things between policies and taking over folder and file permissions. I can look up the specifics I used if you are looking to replicate it. It's a bitch to undo unless you write down everything you change.

  • I can't say I feel bad for them. I'm sure they have problems. But rich people problems always seem so petty when you compared them to the problems faced by people who are 24-7 stressed about whether their paycheck will cover their bills, or whether they are going to have a job if they say the wrong thing to their boss or a senior staff member. The trials that plague most of society are much more stressful than rich people problems. Just look at life expectations and you can see it. If some rich person wants to prove me wrong I will gladly let them switch places with me for a year and we can compare. Maybe I will learn something. And maybe they will understand the frame of their problems better..

  • If I could afford a NAS I would have done so by now. But I can't afford the drives. Most other hosted solutions either don't offer the capacity I am after, or lack other features that I want from a cloud storage.

I didn't like using Obsidian and I'm not going to learn markdown so it's out. I'm looking at notesnook, but it's still not quite what I am after. But might be as close as I get.

  • The only thing preventing me from full adoption in it is the lack of being able to convert to table like in excel. I've moved to it for my word processing. But I can't shake excel because I use that feature almost every time I use the program.

After that i just need to find replacements for OneNote and OneDrive and I'll finally be free.

  • Only a bitch ass baby boy cares what it smells like over being clean. It's not a permanent solution so why care? What's more manly, a man who is scared of a scent, or one who can deal with a scent they don't like for a wash or two?
