  • Trump supporters outside the us are the absolute weirdest anamoly to me. I barely get why some Americans like him. But seeing avid support for him elsewhere just blows my mind. Good luck though! Rooting for you guys too!

  • Lol stardew vally in doom clothing killed me. Quite the write up but all I can really say is an unhelpful "everyone likes different stuff". i like twitch and boomer shooters. I had to wait ages for them to come around again. I had to wade through slow shooters like halo, milshooters, milsims, coverbased shooters, and other stuff that I genuinely don't enjoy as much until the type I liked most started to resurface with Doom 2016 and the now regrettably named "boomer shooters". Fast, arcadey, dark themed, with health and ammo drops. I'm not big on some of them but overall I'm in an oasis compared to the drought I endured.

My best advice is patience for it to come around again or to make it yourself if you don't want to wait.

  • It's not as bad here but I already ran into having a comment of mine deleted from a sub because I suggested that Peter Molyneux is a scam artist, no longer a developer, if he ever couod be considered one. I didn't think that was such an outlandish position that it warranted deletion. But it was removed with an exceptionally vague reason and they wouldn't responded to me asking for an explanation. So how am I supposed to even know when my opinion will offend a tender soul there? My guess is peter Molyneux himself was the mod. Lol

  • Yeah I agree they should have just looked it up because it's easy to check. Just was disagreeing that it's their responsibility to prove it. Their responsibilities are verifying and they failed. It was a stupid pedantic point and I probably shouldn't have bothered. Sorry if I ruffled feathers. Typed before I thought.

  • In the same stroke though the onus to supply backing to any given position or assertion is on the one claiming facts. Else one can go around claiming anything they want and just yell at others to "google it".

This one is easily found out through a simple search and all but burden of proof isn't on the one asking for proof, it's on the one making the assertion. If they want to verify the proof, then that's on them of course.

  • Please don't misunderstand me. I'm absolutely all for bothering people because it's needed for change. But there are more and less effective ways to do that. Trashing art thatcis unrelated really seems less effective. Effective to a point, but less effective overall. You mentioned there have been protests at the appropriate places, and I admit I only know a handful. Do you have examples where people have damaged say, a corrupt politicians car? Or perhaps blocked the street where a lobbyist lives? Or maybe thrown red paint or buckets of organ meat and offal on the steps of the supreme court and picketed about the damages they've caused to womens rights?

If they have been doing outlandish things to the politicians and places of government, then I'm sorry. I haven't noticed and I will agree it's come time to demonstrate elsewhere. I will add that if that's truly the case, I wish they'd say so when doing these stunts.
