  • Not sure how many I ended up eating, but I went to my grandmother's house one day. She was the kind of little old lady that had bowls of candy on every table in the house. The day I came over, I was helping her move the appliances in her kitchen around, so she could clean. She had a bowl of gummy bears on the counter. Gummy candy is my favorite, so I ate the whole thing while I waited for her to sweep before I moved an appliance out, or back into place. When she went to wipe down the counter she realized it was empty and asked if I ate it. I said yeah, and she informed me they were fiber supplements, of which one dose was 2, and I apparently had eaten an entire bag of them she got from Sam's club.

    That night sucked.

  • It almost feels like some sort of AI bot framed to make people angry, for not being leftist enough, or something, with the underlying intent to create a shame response to criticisms of like trump, I guess... such a weird thing to go off about.

  • So, making a shit post joke about how Trump pledged to bring down the cost of eggs, thus having his cult believe the prices of eggs were going to go down due to him, and they a currently rising, with no end in sight, because the president doesn't control the price of eggs, is spreading AG prop and trying to cover up the fact that the bird flu is raising the prices?

You must have extremely long arms to be able to reach that far.

  • They aren't refrigerated because eggs naturally have a coating on them that protects them from spoiling due to exposure. In the US we wash it off in an effort to get things like salmonella off the shells, instead of regulate farm side safety measures

  • Oh I expect most to go elsewhere, but the portion that end up on lemmy, after doing a search for reddit alternatives, will end up here. The greater portion probably won't end up at a single place, as there aren't any reddit alternatives in the way that reddit was an alternative to digg.

  • There were plenty of those people too. It was damn near impossible to convince the majority of people to join the war effort, hell, they may never actually have. The public, at large, was fine with doing business with the axis, and what came to be our allies, and didn't think we should bother getting involved, it wasn't our problem. It took the government going against these wishes, to engineer a situation in which it became our problem, before there was enough support to do something.
