My bum ass town at least had the sense to know the students parents are poor too, meaning some had both parents working. So instead of going home when school ended, we just went to another class that watched us until our parents got off work. We did hw, played games, had the playground all to ourselves, then went home. And it was free. I'm finishing up my Master's and going for Ph.D eventually, but I get the sense that people look down on what I just said above. I'd rather a couple teachers get extra training (CPR, ect.) and more hours/pay than a single daycare/business charging a mortgage per kid.

And if the above seems not good enough for your kids, enjoy that mortgage payment that comes with a risk of Fentanyl overdose or E.Coli poisoning.

Yes, this is the big difference this time around, previously the threat of being blacklisted from the RNC/CPAC plus local obligations (contracts/ect) falling through. This time though we have people outside that establishment that want the government to shutdown. They want this to happen and to hurt, the only good move here is McCarthy working with Dems.

I just realized, there's something different this time....previous shutdowns caved cause Republicans and their home state obligations/economy/jobs would not get funded and in turn they won't get funded. But this time, establishment (RNC support, national funding source) Republicans don't have full party unity as in the whip can't hold things over the non-establishment representatives (far right nut jobs) as they got in from crowdsourced money and super pacs. They aren't obligated to fall in line like previous shutdowns and they legitimately want the government to shutdown.

Jared Kushner gave the Saudi's top secret intelligence information on SA dissidents in exchange for 2 billion....and then MBS had them all trapped in his Hotel to be interrogated, tortured, and likely killed. And now Trumps not even in power anymore and Elon gave them essentially the same thing Jared did. He should have stuck to ripping people off on PayPal, gd it.

Just went to pay a visit to Craigslist Jobs to see what kinds of companies are there offering employment and man....there's no warehouse jobs in what was previously packed to the walls with them. I remember seeing the desperation during Covid when the worker shortage just cratered their economically exploitable pool. The amount of companies offering 4 digit bonuses was wild. And it looks like they're all but gone now, I really hope they went under.

The article mentioned Apple implementing ad blocking which affected Google's revenue, but I think the author forgot extensions. I had read that adblockers were eating into Google's revenue at an alarming rate.

So first adblocks were compromised (was it Adblock or Adblock Pro that had that whitelisting controversy?). When that didn't work, they took advantage of quicklinking/tracking people through Google AMP links, which also allowed advantages to be given to Facebook ad bidding (Jedi Blue - a "mindtrick" these assholes named it) and getting access to Android and Chrome users information in exchange for not setting up a competing ad service plan/ecosystem. And now we're here, with Google disabling extensions altogether and just straight up tracking you directly in Chrome.

Adblocking really, really screwed them over. On one hand good, on the other fuck Google.

They're dying thankfully, thanks to the internet (which they themselves admitted) and South Park (lol) they're numbers went from the tens of thousands to thousands. Hell in some ppl places theres only like 80 something people for an entire state.

I mean poor folk aren't getting any cheap options anytime soon, new or used. It'd be nice to have the option for a $7k-9k conversion, but with a decent rebate to make it viable, along with the ability to pay over time. And EV conversions seems to have gone down in cost than when I last looked, if we can get it down even more heck yeah!

It getting into your lungs and entering the bloodstream is where the danger comes in. It being in particle form is not good to inhale as much as vaporizing it into a gas is, cadmium especially since it's a bioaccumulator and doesn't like to leave the body.

I read a review article that summed up the effects of toxic levels of lead on the human body and how many Americans were exposed to toxic levels and bruh.....Boomers had an 80% toxic level exposure percentage and of all living US citizens, it's currently 50% with 2019 births as the cutoff year. Lead has well known developmental effects, this expanded it to show it has a 60% chance of causing adhd, with further effects causing autism, and in severe cases Cerebellar Hypodysplasia (basically underdeveloped cerebellum, makes walking and balance very difficult).

And the kicker, why and where did the exposures come from? I guessed lead in metal piping and lack of strict water contamination regulations in some places. I wasn't expecting the answer to be because leaded gasoline was banned in fucking 1996. I thought it was banned in like the 80s or something, but no we were poisoned and I see its effects in so many of my peers, the adhd particularly.

But be mindful of what soil you use and where it comes from! This is my specific area of study in Toxicology and I never get to talk about it much haha. The amount of lead, selenium, cadmium is high in some places soils and I wouldn't put it past companies going to the max heavy metal levels as legally possible (which odds are, are significantly higher than the EUs levels) and y'all end up using marijuana plants that bioaccumulated all those metals into the leaves/flower.

If anything it's a valid response to people who pearl clutch the massacre they launched on their invaders as justification for their poor state today. Like bruh, Toussaint's been dead for quite awhile, why do the people of Haiti have to be held accountable for that today?
