  • I had a FireWire hard drive! I remember I bought specifically the enclosure that supported both standards since my motherboard had a FireWire port and on paper it was faster than usb! Too bad the HDD was as slow as molasses

  • As a metric-raised guy I find extremely difficult following the tutorials of woodworkers that start putting 2feet 3 inches and 9/16 in the measurements that converts to 700,0875mm wich i guess is an approximation of 70cms

  • A lot of Microsoft's success was being in the right place at the right time to make the right deal.

It was also having friends on the IBM board that signed a contract that didn't make any commercial sense....

  • How much money you're getting from your parts I guess depends on the car you have.

The costs for the conversion kit also depend on the car and how much performance you want from it. There some companies selling the basic stuff (battery, BMS, inverter, motor) but the you must figure out how to put it, fabricate parts etc. So I'd say it's a rich people hobby...

There used to be a french start-up that was building a standard conversion kit for the most sold cars, but it disappeared :(
