  • I was about to question the "zionist left" part and decided to do a quick search. Apparently it's real, one of the largest parties in Israel is the "Labor Zionist" party which actually holds certain leftist values like proletarian* ownership of the means of production. Bibi is a right wing liberal all the way and his party reflects that, just to be clear. But it shows how any movement can be devastating and harmful when it adopts a mentality of exclusion. In the case of the LZ party, it's the *Jewish proletariat that they want to build socialism for, while keeping an underclass of gentiles. So once again racism and hierarchies are here to ruin your movement.

  • Yes. When I think of a just system it's more like...

Person commits crime and goes to rehabilitation, if they can't be rehabilitated then they are imprisoned or exiled, if they are still a threat there that's when it may become necessary to execute. It's not a punishment, it's a last resort for the safety of others.

  • Children also don't feel shame about being naked until they gain the knowledge of sexuality. Parents would probably notice a child covering themselves up after an encounter of that nature.

I'm also assuming the story would be altered in a number of ways to change the meaning to the biblical one.

  • There are so many examples of small businesses being screwed by policies that large companies can so easily absorb, and so many of the small business owners blame the policy instead of realizing this system will always favor whoever has the most capital. Without exception.

  • There's certainly a difference in domestic policy that makes it clear what choice to make when we're forced into this idiotic 2 party situation. There isn't much of a difference when it comes to foreign policy, so the rest of the world doesn't really care which of "the 2 parties" we pick. Maybe there are too few options, and maybe we shouldn't blindly support one guy just because the other guy is worse.

  • Seriously I don't understand how Biden isn't a shoo in. He's such an old school conservative centrist lowest common denominator. The general public would shit their pants if we actually had a president with morals.

  • Those aren't perfect though, there's still distortion and unsteadyness. As an audio engineer, even when an instrument is super clean, I add a little saturation to make it come to life. And yes much electronic music is perfect rhythm wise, but they often mess with more complexity to make it feel off or lean into the uncanny nature of it's perfection.

Just because it's in the uncanny valley doesn't make it bad.

  • I think perfect music starts to approach the uncanny valley just like a perfect human face does. Where it's just missing some piece that you can't quite figure out. Also distortion/saturation makes music sound better, pretty much always.

  • Oh and what dangers are civilians in Gaza facing?

Edit: this was indeed a sarcastic comment. The correct answer to my "question" is the IDF and American weapons. The point was Biden is willing to admit they'd be in danger over there but is not willing to state the nature of that danger.
