One of the theories behind this game's price is Microsoft is trying to force more people onto the premium game pass.

So if we assume the world is a magical place where poor people don't exist, it makes perfect sense.

Lemmy is in a growth stage. That's exactly the time groups would want to start embedding bots to give them the most possible credulity for when they're needed.

They don't have to be fragile, though. I have several old, cheap smartphones that didn't need a case and weren't bulky by the standards of the day. Even now all they would need is a new battery (easily replaceable btw) and they would work as good as new.

People generally don't give up their car or stop buying things when they work from home. Those taxes just shift away from commercial districts and toward residential ones.

AI is just the new buzzword, just like blockchain was a while ago. Marketing loves these buzzwords because they can get away with charging more if they use them. They don't much care if their product even has it or could make any use of it.

LEO does offer legitimate advantages not just to latency but also for minimizing the abandoned space junk left in orbit. The satellites will deorbit fairly quickly after running out of fuel.

Works is a strong word. It's a better choice than dialup or Hughesnet, but that's damning with extremely faint praise. If you need to rely on it you might be in trouble. There are still gaps in the coverage where you will be dropped for a while.

They are years behind schedule and obscenely over budget on this testing. They're not even making new technology here, they are just cheaping out on the builds to funnel money into their own pockets.

I think the problem here is you somehow think you're arguing a different point. You've missed the context of these posts so badly that you're attacking only people on the side you claim to be on.

They do have chapters which could allow creators to separate sponsor ads into a skippable segments. Some of them even actually do it.
