Night media is a talent agency that was associated with Mr. Beast (you know, during his most popular years) and is still associated with Asmongold (you know, propaganda pointed at young men).

Hasan Piker is the son of a billionaire from Turkey. While I don't know the specifics of how much money he's received from him, if any, that doesn't really matter. The man is a multi millionaire who has made his money on a platform that is absolutely riddled with propaganda mouthpieces. Many people do not see an issue with this, I do.

He also really loves to claim he's a socialist, yet is a multi millionaire (after buying him and his family a 2.7 million dollar home in L.A.). Too many things don't add up for me, so I stopped watching him.

All that being said, idk what's in his heart of hearts. He might not be a bad guy, I might be assuming the worst. Make of it what you will.

Not the guy. I've watched a decent bit of Hasan and if you only listen to what he says, not examine what he does or who he does it for, then he probably seems like a champion for leftist causes.

That being said, he works for Night Media and definitely does not put his money where his mouth is. I personally dislike the hypocrisy.

Think about it, their plan is to declare martial law - right? Conservatives already hate EVs, they think that Trump is a 'good' billionaire while billionaires like Gates are 'bad' billionaires - I don't think it would take much to make Musk out to be a 'bad' billionaire.

Idk if this is as clear as 'good guys vs bad guys' - these are freedom fighters, but it's never been clearer that a lot of people are divided on what 'free' actually means. You shouldn't assume that the people doing this are actually on your side.

There was one dude who was an antisemitic rightwinger and seemed to start adopting softer stances like "You can't really blame Jews for being bankers historically, its just kind of where they ended up being pushed into by other religious groups. It doesn't make sense to hate them for that." or something to that effect. And he even started mixing some left & right leaning econ together.

It's definitely stuff like this that interests me. I think eventually - when the dust finally settles - people are going to have to start talking again. Not like we are now, communicating with the intent of making things better. I have hope that if someone like that can be convinced to have even a little empathy for the people they've been told to hate, then there's hope for the rest of them (and us all). I'm sorry that I insulted you, I should not have implied you were in an echo chamber - nor that you were the type of person to respond without reading.

Interesting, how did everyone else's perspectives change (or at least what you can remember)? I'm really curious, the more you share about it the less skeptical and more interested I become.
