  • Another issue with not paying is that the algorithm will eventually push you further down the list and barely show you to anyone after the first week or two, leading you to believe that no one is interested in you, when in reality it's just that you're not being shown to anyone.

    Not good for your self-esteem, really.

  • Exactly. I was taught as a kid that saying he/him or she/her while the person is in the room with you is rude. That's why I use their name and find all this fuss bizarre.

  • I collect Star Wars cards through the Topps app. I only started doing it in May, but it's quite fun collecting and trading with others.

    Takes me back to my childhood of collecting football stickers and Pokémon cards. 😄

  • I've never understood the fuss over pronouns, because if I'm talking to you I'll refer to you by your name. And if I'm referring to you in a conversation with someone else, I'll refer to you by your name, but if I used any pronouns you wouldn't hear it anyway. 🤷

  • I just moved servers because I found out that the admin of my previous server had an enormous list of servers blocked with these block lists.

    They're a stupid idea. Sure, block servers that are hosting illegal or extremist content, but do it one-by-one so you know exactly what it is you're blocking. Otherwise, leave me to make the choice about whether I hide a server or not.
