If you're already up and running on Mastodon and can interact with people on Threads, there's literally no reason to swap one for the other.

Being able to interact with anyone regardless of what sites you're members of is a good thing. That's one of the main selling points of the Fediverse.

Don't join any of his sites then.

What better way to show how all-in you are on the idea of the "open web" by... err... blocking another website from interacting with you. 🤷

I always laugh at people who simultaneously think that the government is completely incompetent and couldn't run a bath successfully, and that they're all involved in giant conspiracies going back decades that they've managed to keep secret.

Biden has been a damp squib of a President, so even if people dislike Trump they're not going to come out in force to vote for Biden again, whereas Trump supporters certainly will.

I'm not even disabled, but as soon as I see these I close the website.

I haven't got time to faff around solving some stupid puzzles just to log in to my account.

The Independent is the worst site for ads.

I tend to avoid clicking on any links to that site because it's a mess to use. Even with an ad blocker, you still get pop-ups about subscribing or whatever.

You don't have to buy anything in the sales.

In fast food restaurants in the UK, you get your own napkins or they give you them on the tray when you collect your food. Or in some other non-fast food restaurants, they will bring napkins with your cutlery after you've ordered your food.

This is how it has always been and it's a slightly strange thing to get upset about.
