Democrats have zero passion. They always stuck with status quo, so the only reason to vote for them is because they're still susceptible to shame and are willing to eat their own to keep a veneer of respectability. Remember in the US there's a far-right party and a center-right party. The US is dying a very slow, painful death while its population bickers about beer and Barbie.
A "celebration of community" would have lyrics about helping each other, attending local events and supporting local businesses. It would reference knowing people's names, watching families grow up together, pitching in to help neighbours and being able to relax & feel content.
It shouldn't contain combative themes, othering, divisive language and threats of violence.
Have to agree. I'm gen X and most of my gen loves 'em. I've always personally loved fantasy & science fiction. But both times I tried struggling my way through LotR it was like reading a dry, bland history textbook written my an academic in love with his own navel.
I also love Peter Jackson, but give me Brain Dead over any of the LotR films. They're pretty, but BORING.
