The problem is that people spend far too long arguing what a system should be called, rather than actually arguing about the merits of the system itself.

Bringing more people into this world where they will suffer is certainly unethical, but at the same time I do understand the argument that parental beliefs have one of the highest impacts of determining child beliefs, so leftists having children could increase the influence of leftism in the world. Right now, I'm not mature enough to be a good parent, but if I ever am, I might adopt.

I was on beehaw originally, then I switched to lemmy.world because I wanted to see the whole threadiverse, not just the parts that beehaw deigned to federate with, and now lemm.ee because it seems least likely to impulsively defederate, ban, or otherwise get in the way of me browsing Lemmy. Also it has downvotes. But I only ever used one at a time.

I don't think it could be anything I expect. Most of the things I have consciously evaluated about myself I've come to a conclusion based on rational or empirical evidence, so I am certain either in my knowledge or ignorance about a topic. Most of the time when I've been proven wrong it's about a belief I imbibed as a child and never questioned or considered until then.

Didn't Disney publish The Owl House? I mean, I know they didn't really have much creative influence, but they did publish it, and that show is pretty woke.

I used to be scared of death, too, then I realised how terrible life was. Now I look forward to it so there will be no more suffering. Oblivion is better than pain. I'm still scared of the pain of dying, just not of what may lie beyond.

I tried out it and Jerboa on Android (from F-Droid) and besides for not showing user PFPs, Voyager is generally better.

If you choose the app first, and you choose Voyager, everything else - browsing, creating an account - is intuitive and just works.
