  • This is the reality of the 'both sides...' arguments, yes both sides are guilty of doing despicable things but the scales are very heavily tipped in one direction.
Unfortunately with how far americans have legislated and tightened the stranglehold on control of the 'democratic' process, i dont see this ever being undone... 'willingly'...

  • This could be complete bullshit because im not an expert but i sometimes think that we could have a future where without testing and nurturing peoples critical thinking skills we end up with people who dont know how to create a rational argument or assess information they are given for its accuracy and authenticity, or to know when they are being deceived by malicious actors.

English writing assignments as simple as a book report require you to take different views and angles on something to understand it better and the nuances of the whole, but tell a LLM to write it for you and you are not developing that part of your own mind where you may learn to do things like see the whole story above the individual events noise, see things from others perspective/feelings and understand alternate world views. These are critical for having empathy for others and understanding the world around you.
And that is just one small example i came up with.

  • '4/5 dentists prefer' you mean

  • Please, not in this timeline. Its homelander pumelling a camera crew that filmed him killing a bus full of kids with cancer.

  • Another good one is youtube enhancer extension.
And is it just me but does fucking everybody get that lofi girl channel reccomended?

  • Its weird hearing americans have to specify 'un-sweetened' tea as if its not the norm

  • Personal reasons? Yes, because I personally do not want to get Karma'd.

  • I bet they wont ban it. Seriously, 1 goat they dont do it.

  • Ah, my old oven did that trick with the clock.
Even better is that it was a strange brand and didnt have an easily findable online manual, the only way to set the date was to first push the 'alarm set' and 'alarm cancel' buttons at the same time, then use the + & - buttons to change the time.

  • Yes, it makes logistics a nightmare doing the maths.
Its basically a class of truck that is for moving the biggest loads, like road trains (truck&+ trailers) or moving giant mining dump trucks, dozers, etc.

In one version of the transformers series optimus prime is actually a prime mover too

  • Fair enough, but it also spins me out when americans call prime-mover trucks 'tractor trailers'

  • And the 'one more time' video clip

  • Not only that it washes off the lublication that you DO want, any water that is any warmer than luke warm will make cum a congealed sticky mess that doesnt like to come off surfaces and just 'wash down the drain'. If it does wash down after some persuasion it has a good chance of sticking to all the hair being washed down the pipes to become a big-o-ball of hair & cum to block shit up.

  • I dont know the actual justification behind it but i would say:

    1. The Liberal party here love protecting business interests and giving pretrochem companies huge incentives, tax breaks, etc to take our resources and they probably get hard for how much more fuel they can sell here.
    2. Australia has inexplicably bad fuel standards, as such car manufacturers dump their shittest engines here which run on this low grade fuel and every time we talk about reforming this the manufacturors run a scare campaign about how much extra cars will cost if they have to meet these standards and the Libs have been jumping on that.

As to the big cars thing, we have typically had quite regular sized cars and our typical tradesperson vehicles (called "Ute's" here, "trucks" in the USA) were significatly smaller than their american equivilants, but local manufacturing shut down and now we buy from whats available on the market. Also the laws around taxing work vehicles is worded in such a way that bigger cars get taxed differently and incentivises people buying these cars and slowly our car sizes are increasing and more and more giant 'Yank Tanks' are appearing on our roads. And couple this with car manufacturers slowly changing the publics idea of what a 'family car' is from a large sedan to a small suv to a full blown suv or 4x4 7 person tank.

  • Also notable, the increase was boosted by asain and hispanic mothers, the exact people that the MAGA Reich is exporting as quick as they can.

  • Im pretty sure a lot of these tracking widgets are invisible/zero size/offscreen too, so its not just a 'click here to share' button but purely a User_ID36ax48dd99y42s52l840a2648 visited this site at 15:37:23 on 20250405 and looked at X.

  • Exactly.
Break it down kids, its pronounced par-mi-gi-ana, and what does that sound like when you shorten it? Par-mi, Parmy.

Where the fuck did the "a" come from in 'parma'‽ Are we just going to start shortening down words and tacking the last letter on now, is that what we are doing?

  • I honestly wouldnt be suprised the the reaction and public sentiment towards what Gas said would be different now given that MAGA have started burning down not just the USA but also the global economy and power balances.
