  • the last few seasons of Discovery have been a bit bogged down by the stuff that has always made it a tough sell as a Trek series: overly ambitious, serialized storylines that aren’t compelling; new characters and environments that don’t impress; plot twists which can be maddening in their lack of logic; big storytelling swings which can be confusing and predictable at once.

Yeah, it's not "underappreciated". It's just not very good for what many of us are expecting. I still haven't gotten through season 3.

  • Even after reading the article, I don't understand what one has to do with the other. If it plays single player just fine on the Steam Deck, why can't you play multiplayer? And what does it specifically have to do with PSN? Maybe I missed it, because the site doesn't format well at all on mobile.

  • If you're specifically seeing that there's one comment, but there are none when you open the comments, The two most likely scenarios seem like the posts are for videos and you have pipe links hidden in the settings, or you have an active user blocked.

  • I am fully on the Sync train. It does get a lot of hate here because it's not FOSS, but it was the best app around for Reddit, and the dev converted it for Lemmy. It's so far above and beyond everything else that I'm happy to pay for it. There's a free version with ads, and there's the expensive paid upgrade ($20). The dev regularly disappears for months, but when he surfaces, he'll roll out a massive amount of bug fixes and features.

  • Some good suggestions already, but I would also keep in mind that you can put a nail in the wall right behind where you're going to be hanging up one of the pictures. It's a small hole, and there's no immediate need to paint the patch since it's going to be hidden behind a frame anyway.

  • Please don't post specific personal identifying information about yourself like this on the internet. This is something where a poll survey would give you much easier to digest results without jeopardizing personal information.

  • My understanding is that the permits essentially allow you to disrupt things like traffic by having sections of the city cordoned off for gathering/marching. Take this with a grain of salt, as I've never had to actually deal with the permitting myself.

  • Recently had a movie night where we watched Oscar. Only one person (the person that wanted to watch it) had seen it before, but it was their birthday, so we all sat down to watch. It is a fantastic comedy of errors movie with Sylvester Stallone. None of us could believe that we had never even heard of it before, because we all loved it so much, and laughed so frequently. Fantastic movie night movie. I can't recommend it enough.
