  • I've had the same issues with Endeavour, sometimes you get buggy software and need to roll back. I do a full system backup once a week and update once or twice a day (I like updating frequently as it makes it obvious which package broke your system). When I get a bad package I just restore from backup but exclude /home. Then from there I install packages one at a time until I find that bad one and then just ignore it for a while. It really hasn't been too bad. I don't think you'll find anything like the AUR if you start distrohopping. Debian is the king of set it and forget it, but it might be a shock to go back older packages of everything.

  • When I fully switched 2 years ago, I thought I'd try doing all my gaming in Linux and was really anxious wondering which and how many games I wouldn't be able to play. Imagine my surprise when all of them ran. I haven't found a single game I couldn't get running. Hell, I even beat one I couldn't get running in Windows! That being said there's a bug preventing VR from working that I'm a little sad about. Apparently Steam only supports Ubuntu, I use Endeavour.

  • Bash was the first language I learned, got pretty decent at it. Now what happens is I think of a tiny script I need to write, I start writing it in Bash, I have to do string manipulation, I say fuck this shit and rewrite in Python lol

  • Similar thing man. I got detention for getting beat up, I didn't even fight back. Guy put me in a chokehold from behind, I took his sunglasses off his face and said let go or I'm jamming in this in your eye. He spun me around and tried to knee me in the nuts and missed. I got detention for "fighting" lol.
