When I vacation in Europe I stay in apart-hotels that have space, kitchenettes, etc. Just stayed in one in Munich a week or two ago even.

They exist in Europe like most nice things that make sense do… not in the USA though. Our hotels suck, the only other option is airbnb of someone’s home which is often OVER equipped and sized for short stays.

We need an in between but I don’t see it being made due to our awful zoning law issues and if they were to exist they’ll likely be overpriced

What constitutes old growth? I’ve long thought that part of my retirement or last wishes will go towards setting aside some land in reserve for however long I can. Planned on starting to buy cheap land wherever I can in the next decade or so to start

Cigarette ash absolutely gets sticky from tar. Source: worked in a casino for a decade, have seen dust built up in PC fans and any other airflow device or crevice many times that looks somewhat like fuzzy sludge. Fucking disgusting.

And yes all the beige curtains, walls, etc were white when we first put them in, matter of weeks for a brand new white curtain wrap(used to hide the poles for chandeliers that have camera arrays in them) to turn tan/beige

I don’t believe Valves claim of perfectly flat structure, Gabe is the owner, he if no one else is management and has the power. I’m willing to bet there’s a second level of reviewers for peers, if nothing else then it’s a second separate set of peers reviewing the first set’s reviews to watch for this problem.

Oh I’m sure, I have a few left that I’m planning on moving away from soon but have to get approval for paying for vendor support for it and get approval for the brief outage. Some of us aren’t allowed to do it over the weekend or even overnight without regulatory approval

Their defense is that they were literally using them as slaves by keeping them in slave quarters they can’t leave but we can’t call it forced slavery because they threw a couple euro coins in the cellar at the end of the day to call it wages

You forgot to mention no relocation assistance and no adjustment to wages to make up for the hurdles and potential cost of living increase in the new location.

Well when you live on a volcanic island… it shouldn’t be that surprising that it occasionally does volcano things

At this point there should be help wanted signs on the entire teams facilities with the way they lose people and the remaining people clearly aren’t up to snuff.
